Chai Yo Modern Thai brings a chef-driven Thai concept to Buckhead, featuring Chef DeeDee Niyomkul’s interpretation of traditional Thai recipes using modern techniques and inspiration in a contemporary hip setting. The Food and Service was Wonderful Linda gave us excellent service. The restaurant was opened on a Sunday so the food was fresh and cooked to our satisfaction request! 🤗🥳

We loved our Mother's Day celebration! The fried lobster tail and short ribs special was excellent as were the green curry with chicken and spring rolls. Creative cocktail choices and wine list. Linda makes great drinks and anticipates guests needs well!

I absolutely love the food and service. However, there were multiple tables that were overwhelmingly loud. The waitress kept apologizing, but at some point, management should have addressed this. You typically spend about $75 per person for dinner and you shouldn't have to listen to others being obnoxious.

Great food! There was a party of about 18 people, so was very loud. Overall a great experience. Just wish they had a separate area for parties!!

This place is a vibe. Chill EDM playing and a breeze throughout thanks to the garage doors on the street side of the restaurant. Our server Linda was entertaining, responsive, and professional. The Chef takes pride in presentation and food tasted amazing. Can’t wait to go back

My second visit here. First visit was great but my second not so pleasant. The server came and took our order then didn’t bother to stop by for 20min+. Saw her attending to another table across from us many times but didn’t even bother to make eye contact with us. It just looked like they had a bigger ticket so she was giving them all her attention. Did not like being treated this way because we didn’t order bottles of wine or expensive cocktails.

We dined at Chai Yo Modern for my birthday and the food was outstanding. The ambience was perfect for our taste. If I had to say anything negative would be the fact that the host asked whose birthday we were celebrating (mentioned during booking) but our server had no idea we were celebrating a birthday. But I did get the slice of cake after we asked and it was delicious! Thank you

Dinner with my kids - birthday celebration for my daughter. Linda was our server and she was wonderful. Dinner was delicious, especially the Wagyu Beef Cheeks and the Thai Mango with sticky rice for dessert.

Last night’s dining experience was appalling and I’m a usual at Modern Thai restaurant as I typically love the food there. The waitress talked to us about the special which consists of a lobster tail, scallop and some prawns but she never told us how much that special is. For a proper restaurant and proper etiquette of a waitress/waiter they should always talk about the ingredients, preparation of the dish then price. Also I ordered a bottle sparkling water and without asking, she just went ahead and gave us a second bottle which we did not find out until paying. So the “special” was $72 which we were never informed and quite honestly if it was executed well we’d be happy to pay for a food dish as we understand those materials are premium, but the whole dish was battered and deep fried!!! And the two bottles of sparkling water ($8/each) didn’t help either. I walked away yesterday feeling completely unsatisfied and a little upset to be honest. The waitress was very nice as a person but I think she lacks a proper waitress etiquette and I can’t help but feeling a little deceived. I used to come here at least once a month now I’m going to rethink how frequent I come back based on last night’s experience.

I loved our service. Food was good. I’m peturbed that I paid $20 for the parking Deck for our dinner with no validation. The parking for valet should be either before the deck or let patrons know via the website the cost for valet parking. We spent over $350 for dinner-it was the principle of the parking fee.

My first time dining here and this place was recommended to me by a friend. Although open for lunch, there is only one lunch option available (chef’s box combo) which I highly recommend as you get two entree samples plus soup and rice- delicious! Otherwise, you can order off the dinner menu. Outstanding service as well!

I’ve been here several times, it’s one of my favorite places. In my last visit, the food was excellent, but the service was a bit slow although it was not a crowded night. But still a great experience, and I highly recommend!

This is a Thai Restaurant with a French Chef. They served me a modern twist Pad Thai. I have to returned it back and replace it with Sea Bass instead. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, this is not the place to go to.

Very delicious and satisfying. Service was great but the highlight was the food and cocktails. Spicy is the name of the game here . their green curry was spicy and delicious, and they made it spicier for us. The seafood was cooked perfectly, so it's highly recommended, but the beef dishes are just as good. Overall a terrific experience.

Great location in the heart of Buckhead - validated valet parking. Food had flavor - think fancy Thai, best old fashion cocktail and beautiful space. Will be back!
