Just loved this place. The food was delicious, we started with the carpaccio (yum) and it did not disappoint. The focaccia bread was perfectly light and tasty. The cocktails were fun and the pasta was truly fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Funghi, if you love mushrooms, this is for you. My husband had the special (fresh pasta, sausage and cheesy goodness) I loved the Gavi Gavi wine and the outside back patio was decorated wonderfully and the decor was inviting. Juliana was the best and we will definitely be back soon.

I love this place, I have to say that my fiorelli pasta undercooked, not al dente (I know the difference) and the lasagna was ok; everything else was absolutely amazing! The tiramisu it’s a must! And the octopus it’s my absolute favorite

Cesarina is an absolute favorite in SD! Food, ambiance, and service top notch! Our server Eric was very helpful! Our out of town guests thought it was amazing! The drinks were delicious. We had the squash blossom appetizer that was great for 4 people. We all had a pasta dish with an amazing sauce…the bolognese and funghi should be must try’s! We also tried the lasagna which was one of the best ever! And, let’s not forget dessert. The table side tiramisu should not be missed!!!! We also tried the ricotta cheesecake with the caramel-chocolate sauce, and wow! So amazing! Again, it was a great dinner with friends at one of our favorite SD restaurants! An amazing place to treat out of town guests!

Bar was very slow. Another table brought in a little dog that barked the entire time. Very annoying.

A great restaurant. Service and food very good. We were seated outside and the noise level was very low which we liked. Note that if you are seated inside the noise level is much higher.

Food is amazing and I would recommend this place to a friend! There was a slight mixup with payment (I was over-charged) but I hope it was an honest mistake. Update: I contacted the restaurant and they solved the over-charged dilemma (honest mistake). I will always recommend this place to friends and family!

The closest food taste to Italy we had in the US. We came from Europe and most Italian food here tastes bad. Not the case with Cesarina. They did a great job in transferring authentic quality and taste from Italy.

Best Italian food in San Diego hands down down. Sat on pet friendly patio so there was some airport noise thus my rating on noise level but no complaints as we could bring our dog and enjoy incredible food served by friendly and fun people. My new favorite place!

Ever since I had their Pacheri Vodka e Scampi, I had to go back and have it again. What a dish! The creaminess of the sauce is like velvet and the seafood definitely adds that unique flavor the only way crustaceans can do. Service was phenomenal, especially when our server, Kara, seemed to always stay ahead of what we needed without helicoptering our table. Fresh water, our bill, the to-go box & bag - all there without asking. She is definitely a gem and you are lucky if you have her tending your table. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of her teammate, but together - our 2 waitstaff members really made for a relaxing lunch that made us feel like we were in another city. Other than the fact the tables "felt" sticky and in need of replacing, Cesarina is absolutely one of the Italian restaurants in San Diego that stands apart from all the rest. Just go, you won't regret it.

The food was fabulous. I had the truffle sauce and it was perfect. My friend had the ravioli of the day spinach and ricotta and added crispy pancetta with. Rosa sauce. That was my favorite. The server was super helpful when assisting us to make a decision on what to chose. She was very friendly. The place was decorated charming inside and on patio.

I've eaten here quite a few times. I've always considered this to be a 5 star establishment for both excellent food and service. My recent visit did not meet the normal standards of service. The prices have gone up which is to be expected in this economy, however, the food and service were subpar so definitely no justification to pay the higher prices. The food quality seems to have slipped just a little bit. It was quite good, but just missing a little something to make it the usual wow. The service was very subpar. Through no fault of our delightful server, I believe she was just assigned way too many tables and didn't have time for us. Other staff would occasionally come and cover for her, but very inconsistently. A disappointment, not sure if I'd come again.

The Focaccia Bread they serve as an app is delicious. The servings are generous and large enough that two people can split a pasta dish, especially the lasagna, which in itself was delicious. Usually I’m not a huge lasagna fan but I enjoyed every bite. Our Waitress, Kara, was awesome. We liked it so much the first time we dined, we came back for a second time 3 days later and had Kara as a waitress both times. She took very good care of us. We sat outside on our first visit and inside on our second, I enjoyed sitting inside more. Overall, 10/10 experience.

As always the food was delicious and the service and attention by everyone just wonderful. It was my guests first time there and she just loved it all. Finished with the tiramisu and the presentation is just show stopping. Until next time

Very nice ambiance, good service & food. However, Unnecessarily expensive pastas and entrees. Must pay additional fees for simple things like adding mozzarella ($5). On top of that a 4% surcharge for employee benefits…
