Cattlemens is a an American steak house and grill. The dining room is designed like an Old West-style saloon. Everything about the decor is an homage to cowboys, gold rush towns and cooking over a campfire. Each night there is a different menu item on special, whether it is the slow-cooked prime rib, 20-ounce T-bone or surf n' turf 8-ounce sirloin and jumbo shrimp combo. Steaks are king at Cattlemens, with several cuts of meat and different seasoning options. In addition to these hearty cuts of beef, there are several rib options guaranteed to fill up even the hungriest diner. These include a rack of baby back pork ribs, classic dry-rub beef ribs or an herb-crusted rack of lamb. The bar menu, or saloon menu as its known at Cattlemens, has several fine spirits, craft cocktails and cold draft beer.

I am an EAGLES fan and expected with all the hype, Texas steak would suck. Sorry to say, awesome steak and experience! Thank you! GO BIRDS!!

The service was terrible and the food was very bland and over cooked. We walked in to the host stand and was not greeted. The young lady just looked at me. When we sat, our server did not introduce himself or tell us his name, he simply just said can I get you drinks. We ordered our steaks medium, my wife’s was well done and mine was medium well. The salads were warm and had no flavor, the steaks were bland, the baked potato was over cooked but tasted fine, and the lobster tail was over cooked, tough, and dry. We were never asked how was everything and nobody said anything as we left. The ladies at the host station were leaned on the counter on their phones. I even said thank you and have a great night, and all I received was a stare. This was our first and last time ever going.

I was expecting a better eating experience but was underwhelmed by the grilled catfish, chicken fried steak and sirloin. Fries were cold. Baked potato was food! Overall, I wouldn’t eat here again. Grilled Catfish tasted cheap and greasy. Bad texture. There are so many better options in downtown.

Was expecting a nicer experience based on the online reviews I read. However, the atmosphere was average and a bit noisy initially due to the level of the music the restaurant was playing when we arrived. They did turn it down which helped us to hold a normal conversation. The service was pretty ok, nothing phenomenal really. The food was less than expected, especially for the price. The Country Fried Steak I had was pretty gristly and fatty. The flavor was ok but I've definitely had better. Overall not a great value for the price, seems to be a bit sensationalized due to the location in the Stockyards.

Porterhouse was tough and stringy, knife could barely cut it. filet mignon was tender but had no flavor.

Internationally famous Cattleman's Steak House sets the standard for good Texas steaks and all the trimmings. Onion rings are the best way to start your meal!

Have eaten here many times. Was disappointed in the food. Rolls were cold and steak was okay. Salad was. Just ALL lettuce! No other vegetable at all! Expect better from a STEAK house!

I actually couldn’t believe how bad it was. It was my husbands birthday and we were excited to check out this “internationally famous” steakhouse for the first time. There is absolutely nothing inviting about the place start to finish. The decor is outdated. Everything seems dirty and cheap. Portions for sides are ridiculously small. Menu is limited. Service was terrible. Only reason we gave a decent tip was because our daughter, who is a server, insisted we tip him well because she “felt bad” for him. Huge price tag for nothing.

Cattleman’s was worth every penny we spent. The food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. The waitress we had could have been a little more attentive, but she wasn’t bad overall.

The was my wife’s and I first time to eat here. The service was wonderful and very inviting. Our waitress Nichole did a fantastic job. We will most definitely be returning and I will be suggesting this establishment to many more to go.

This was our second time to eat at Cattlemen’s and it was just as delicious as we remembered. Even though it’s been many years, we knew we would enjoy one of the best steaks you’ll have anywhere! We had reservations and arrived early to enjoy drinks at the bar. Our waitress was very nice and did a good job.

They were out of the 9 Oz filet , the braised short ribs and the ribeye …. How !? It’s a steak house! I paid $23 to park and was there for my husbands bday and it was a big disappointment. We asked for the manager just to figure out how you can be out of steak so either the server didn’t tel the manager or the manager didn’t care. Either way we won’t be back

The meal was delicious. The dining room smelled faintly of smoke, but it was because there was a grill in the room where the chef cooked our steaks. The traditional grilled steaks were excellent, as expected, but my wife got a salad with blackened chicken which she said was the best salad she ever had and my son’s country fried steak was the best that any of us had tasted. The fixings for the baked potatoes are brought out separately and it is enough to fill about 3 potatoes. One piece of advice - if dining at lunch on the weekend you have to ask for a lunch menu. The default menu is the dinner menu with higher priced menu options only.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Onion ring appetizer, 11 oz sirloin, side salads, baked and mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.

This place is not fancy, but the food is delicious! They use beef raised on their own ranch, aged for 28 days. My husband could cut his steak with fork, and my hamburger tasted better than any I’d had before. The onion rings were thick and crispy (in fact, a little hard to eat!). We’d recommend this place.

The hostess was rude, said she gave away our reservation table because we were <5 min late. I said, it was less than 5 min and she wasn’t at the hostess stand when we arrived. She continued to be rude, and wouldn’t give me an estimate for when we would get seated. A manager came to talk to us but simply was being patronizing as when he walked away he was going up to a server who was laughing and watching him talk to us. He said the hostess would come and apologize, she came into the room several times but never came up to us. I’m a local and this used to be a go-to for me. I would not recommend to anyone anymore as when you walk in you get treated like trash.

The food and service are not worth the price. For $100 a person I expect the Capital Grill quality. This is more like Outback Steakhouse. But it is in the Stockyards so I guess you are paying a tax for the experience.

We wanted to eat steaks in the old stockyard exchange area of Fort Worth, so we tried Cattlemen's. It was okay but didn't quite live up to my expectations. We ordered medium steaks and received them well done, ordered a side of sauce which was never delivered (and when we asked twice about it, were told that they were out of it) and the server wasn't very attentive. It was a novel experience but the food and overall experience wasn't matched to the cost of the food.

Ordered onion rings and fried mushrooms. Onions rings are GIANT but delicious and mushrooms were flavorful! Their steak sauce that came with the onion rings was a little too ketchupy for me. For dinner my husband ordered the ribeye, I got the rose of Texas sirloin. We both agreed that it was one of the best steaks we ever had! Our server was super nice and helpful, I wish I could've ordered another alcoholic beverage but never got around to it. Definitely recommend!

Excellent food quality. Steaks were fantastic. Get the Chimichurri sauce to go along with the New York Strip and it is not to be missed. Everyone in our party got something different and everyone was delighted. Salads and Baked Potatoes were traditional and simply delicious. Carrot cake for dessert was huge and the whole table tried it!

I’ve been here multiple times. I always have an amazing experience. Tonight everything was good except our dinner. I order the bone in strip medium rare. It was not even a quarter inch thick and cooked well past well done. My wife ordered the KC strip.. definitely not a KC strip looked and tasted like a sirloin. Which it was good and we ate it but it wasn’t a Kc strip. The manager agreed that my bone in New York strip was unacceptable and took it off our tab. Slightly annoyed but I’ll be back to make sure this was a one off.

Definitely make a reservation. It was a 2 hour wait when we got there for walking. Food ans service was amazing.
