Cathédrale is a French-Mediterranean restaurant by Tao Group Hospitality Chef/Partner Ralph Scamardella, in collaboration with Executive Chef Jason Hall (formerly of acclaimed restaurants like Gotham Bar & Grill, Anthos and Craft). The menu brings elemental, ingredient-driven cooking to the forefront, evoking the grandeur of the past while remaining contemporary in its execution. Dishes put pleasure over spectacle, taking inspiration from Southern France with traces of Italy, Spain and Greece as seen in Ribeye Steak au Poivre, Chickpea Socca Pancake and Bouillabaisse 'Tetou' for the table, as well as Baked Red Snapper Provençal and Rotisserie Chicken Chasseur.

One of the best places I've been in the city. The staff members are all very kind, the food and the presentation were fantastic, the ambiance is amazing, and I LOVED their playlist.

This was a phenomenal experience from the greeting at reception to the escort from the table. The ambience and food was superb, and the music was such a vibe. Special thanks to everyone involved in making my dinner special!

Outstanding service. Every dish was delicious. Had the Halibut, Sea Bass and Filet. Wonderful sauces in the great French style.

AMAZING!!! Highly recommend; everything was a 10/10! We got the oysters, fritto misto, truffle fettuccine, maine lobster pasta, and 14oz steak, all the food TOO GOOD we ate too much. The ambience and atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing and truly breathtaking. Also the staff is amazing and tooooooo sweet! Definitely coming back ASAP and highly highly recommend to come, it is now a must come for me!

The appetizers were good drinks as well the food was okay but the service was bad took too long when asked to bring something or was never around asking if we needed something

I had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the decor added to the overall charm of the restaurant. Now, onto the food – it was simply divine! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef truly knows how to create culinary masterpieces. I also appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. They were always on hand to ensure that we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was nothing short of perfectly ✨

The disco music was so loud we didn't enjoy our meal or experience. Food could have been great but too distracting to enjoy.

Service was superb! The food was exquisite, the wine pairings were excellent choices that complemented each dish, and the ambience of the restaurant was beautiful, and heightened the whole experience. My sister and I had a wonderful time!

Overpriced for mid tier food and just barley exceptional service. Having said that, the drink selection atmosphere and architecture of the restaurant are some reasons to eat here.

The ambience of this restaurant is amazing but dinner and the service factor really disappointed. We ordered oysters, tuna crudo, the sweet potatoes and the scallops. The oysters were extremely fishy and after two each we couldn’t continue and had to remove the dish. The sweet potatoes never came - they brought mushrooms instead and were annoyed when we wouldn’t eat them. The scallops were overcooked and again, fishy, for $48/each. Pretty unhappy with our experience. Despite eating ~3 of 12 oysters the host stuck us with most of the bill but comped our glasses of wine. This was my worst NYC dining experience in a long time.

Service and atmosphere are elite. One of the most beautiful spaces in NYC and the staff was 10/10. Food was expensive and average. Cocktails were excellent. Chocolate soufflé was to die for. $75 steak frites was very forgettable. An impressive restaurant to bring someone to given the incredible atmosphere, but if you’re in it for the food there are better and cheaper options.

The staff was nice and it was very easy to change the time of the reservations which was very convinient & appreciated! Food wise if you don’t like French food you probably won’t like it here. The environment & interior was quite nice though!

We arrived 15 min late because we had trouble finding parking but I called 20 min ahead to say we were here but looking for parking. When we arrived they said we were late so needed to figure out where to sit us so wait and have a drink at the bar, which was totally fine by us as we needed a cocktail and love sitting at the bar. About 30 min later they sat us. We had a wonderful dinner. We did not feel rushed. Our waiter was wonderful. The food was excellent. We had the burrata, white tuna hamachi and steak tartar which were exceptional. For entrees we lad scallops and lobster rigatoni which was cooked to perfection. Presentation was great! The ambiance and vibe/music was on point. Drinks were great too! Price for all we got was very fair. Loved that there were lounge areas to have drinks before/after. Definitely would recommend.
