Cathédrale is a French-Mediterranean restaurant by Tao Group Hospitality Chef/Partner Ralph Scamardella, in collaboration with Executive Chef Jason Hall (formerly of acclaimed restaurants like Gotham Bar & Grill, Anthos and Craft). The menu brings elemental, ingredient-driven cooking to the forefront, evoking the grandeur of the past while remaining contemporary in its execution. Dishes put pleasure over spectacle, taking inspiration from Southern France with traces of Italy, Spain and Greece as seen in Ribeye Steak au Poivre, Chickpea Socca Pancake and Bouillabaisse 'Tetou' for the table, as well as Baked Red Snapper Provençal and Rotisserie Chicken Chasseur.

Join us at the bar for Oysters & Champagne Happy Hour featuring $2 oysters, $4 bites, $8 champagne, and $12 martinis. Available Sunday – Friday from 5PM-7PM. Walk-ins welcome.

Despite our very rude and crass waitress the rest of our experience and staff was amazing. It was very unfortunate we had such a horrible encounter. We were celebrating a friends 50th and was treated by our waitress extremely awful. She seemed very miserable in her work place and truly did not want to be there. Bar and hostess staff were very welcoming and delightful.

Great experience, we loved the environment, the food and most importantly the SERVICE. The only thing we would have liked to be different was the Happy Hour rule. Unfortunately, to enjoy Happy Hour you must sit at the bar- which we thought was an inconvenience. We still ordered cocktails but wish this would have been different and would have definitely made it a 5-Star experience!

I always try to make it to Cathédrale when I’m in NYC! Absolutely fabulous food every time. If you’re a foodie, this is a great restaurant for you.

We took a friend for a birthday dinner at Cathedrale. The black truffle fettuccine was horrid. The dish was left sitting in the kitchen and the pasta had hardened in the dish and the black truffles shavings had "cooked" atop the pasta in the process which rendered the dish inedible and it was returned. Unfortunately, it was not returned quickly. We mentioned the issue immediately to an employee but our server was not notified for ten minutes which meant two of us finished our meals while one waited for the pasta correction. The pasta diner chose to skip the main and we all ordered desserts. When desserts arrived, the restaurant tried to compensate for the pasta error by providing two complimentary desserts to our birthday guest -- along with the dessert he ordered -- which was both overwhelming and odd. Why not just "comp" a few desserts? Why bring us two additional? I guess they needed the money. The restaurant is nicely decorated for a basement hall but other than the decor, it's simply not anywhere in the league of NYC's best.

Fantastic spot! Bartender was awesome, the happy hour vibe & menu was great - definitely a hidden gem.

This is a restaurant with very loud music that makes you to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. The food is good but very expensive for what it is. Even the table set does not match the level of prices that should be with it. Wine list is extremely high price for medium level wines. The only thing I like really is the service. the person was very nice and helpful.
