The retractable rooftop haven marries simple yet elegant, seafood, sushi, and steak with excellent service and a lively atmosphere complete with a unique, open-air dining room and breathtaking views of Downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. Customer service was above and beyond and so was the food!! I came in to celebrate my birthday and I have to give a shoutout to the manager, Loki, because without him I don't think our experience would have been the same! He accommodated our requests, gave us a wonderful table with plenty of room for everything we got (I would dare say we had the best seats in the house!) and he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and that I got my birthday dessert. Our server Michael was also very attentive and friendly! I prefer my drinks on the sweeter side so he was able to get me a Strawberry Spritz with a little extra sweetness, they were so good I ended up having three! And the lobster macaroni was to die for, I can't wait to go back to get it again! I also really appreciated the attentiveness of support staff, I wish I got his name but there was a gentleman who made sure our water was always refilled and our table was always clean, and it definitely added to the elevated feel of the experience and we never had to ask for anything! And of course, the HIT ME dessert was just perfect!!

Our waiter was nice however we had to ask for certain things that accompanied our sushi for example chopsticks , wasabi , soy sauce … I would expect your service to be as good as the food and the prices we pay as we do have many choices here in LA… Sincerely Laura

The food was delicious and the rooftop atmosphere was really lovely. The chairs were not particularly comfortable and it did not seem as though our waiter really liked us much, but otherwise we really enjoyed our meal.

The mushroom pasta was good. It was very creamy, but it could have done with less salt. The fried wayu rice had so much salt and grease. It was like putting a salt shaker in your mouth. The sushi was decent, the hellfire roll was 10/10. It is worth it to try. I think because we went so late the other sushi’s didn’t taste as fresh. (I tried them all!)The Bao buns were too sweet and took 30 min to come. It was my birthday and the dessert is usually free, but they charged it even though they insisted annoying that I should get dessert. (Reference- 40 min while eating)

Considering the decent but not like Kobe A5 quality, it’s a bit overpriced especially the tiny wagyu sando. Service and food have great flavor overall.

Disappointed is an understatement. Food was mediocre and service was less than adequate. The only positives were the two gentleman at the street entrance and the two lovely hostesses at the front desk. We were definitely hoping for a better experience specially since we were there for our anniversary dinner.

Was not the best service. We were not really checked on by our server. We also had something dripping on our seating area. To the point where my sister had to move towards me. She had to put a napkin down. And even then she kept having water drip on her.

Beautiful from the moment you walk in. Everyone was warm and welcome to us from the greeter, bar, and server. The food was phenomenal! There's attention to every detail. Definitely going back.

I’d like to begin with a recommendation to the restaurant and perhaps Open Table, but from industry experience Open Table doesn’t set the reservation times or intervals… Do not have a 2:30 pm reservation available on a Saturday when the restaurant closes the kitchen at 3 p.m. May I point out that we are out of town patrons and would not have known about the kitchen closing. This is how we were greeted at the host stand by whom I assume was the day shift manager - he was also put out by having to set up a table for a large party. It was not a pleasant exchange and this interaction set the mood and ruined what was to be our daughter’s college graduation celebration. The two hostesses were actually embarrassed and tried to lighten the mood but it was too late. Catch is one of our daughter’s favorite places and we always bring her when we come in to visit from Houston. Our day/lunch shift waiter had to re-iterate that the kitchen closed at 3 pm and we needed to make selections asap. The best thing we could do was for my husband to order almost everything on the brunch menu in addition to some rolls and French fries. Besides my husband, myself and daughter, no one else in our party (also out of town family members) had dined at Catch before. It was not a good first impression or what I would call an acceptable dining experience. We were embarrassed as hosts. The most pleasant part of our evening was our interaction with our afternoon/dinner server who informed us that the shift change had happened so he would be taking over. He was friendly and attentive. We are very thankful for his kindness.

Awesome food and drinks. Salmon, sea bass and branzino all have different flavors and were amazing. Waygu fried rice is also a winner. Best drink was the Detox Retox!

We ate near heat lamps, some of which were not lit and smelled gas throughout our meal. We were rushed through dinner and had our plates aggressively cleared. Including having to repeat I wasn’t finished more than once. A dish was taken from beneath my main dish. Just a really bad attendant’s intrusive nature ruined the meal for the 3 of us.

My wife and I came here for our 17th wedding anniversary. The ambiance, service and food was great and delicious. The only negative for us was that I was hoping to have something intimate, but not only was the seating extremely close to the adjacent tables, the noise level seemed pretty high because it was almost difficult to have a conversation. Overall this is a great place to chill with friends or for a business meeting during the day and pleasant get together with people in the evening.

Very rarely am I wowed by a restaurant but every single dish we ordered was amazing!! Started with pretzel bread and hellfire roll which were to die for!! The mushroom pasta with shrimp and my boyfriend had the steak with their new mashed potatoes. Absolutely blown away!! Everything was delicious and great service too!

Very lively atmosphere, great for larger groups. Food was outstanding, we ordered the crispy cauliflower, grilled octopus, wagyu table-side hot stone, and the crunchy rice cakes. All were outstanding except for the crunchy rice cakes definitely would not order that again.

First time at Catch LA for our table of 4. We loved the design and vibe of this restaurant the moment we got off the elevator and entered. Greeted by a very nice and very large gentleman, he escorted us to the bar while we waited for our friends. Ordered very cool specialty cocktails, Penicillin and Lush Lemonade, which were delicious. Once seated at our table our helpful server recommended some dishes. For starters we ordered pretzel bread with whipped honey mustard butter and edamame with chili garlic, truffle sashimi. Then, crispy cauliflower with spicy vegan mayo and crunchy rice cakes with tuna tartar and wasabi tobiko. For our entrees we ordered a whole grilled branzino with wonderful pattypan squash, baby zucchini, heirloom tomatoes, roasted artichokes with citrus vinaigrette and truffle butter filet mignon. We shared the entrees which were cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared the “hit me” chocolate cake and pistachio cheesecake. Everything was next level - food, service, presentation and ambience. There is so much more to explore on their menu so we’ll be back very soon. We highly recommend Catch LA.

Absolutely amazing food and vibe. I drive an hour for this place. Pricy I don’t leave without spending minimum of $200 because I get so many plates. It’s fantastic I can’t help it

Great experience, 1st time there. Service could have been much better especially for the price. The food was excellent.

Me and a friend dined here. We look young although we are not so service was incredibly subpar and rude until we placed our order which was large. After that the attitude completely changed but it just goes to show that the only real value this restaurant has is the hype behind its name. I wanted to love this place because it was so pretty and the food was wonderful but I just can’t get past the staff having a nasty attitude from the jump. The most polite person was the bathroom attendant… thank you Isabel for being the shinin of star of Catch LA.

Jamila was a wonderful server! She gave great recommendations on the menu. She was also very patient and made our dining experience very pleasant.

We had a fun time at Catch. The atmosphere and food was great. However, for the reputation this place has as well as the cost, I expected much better service. Overall I think Catch is over hyped and overpriced.
