They were having a hard day - Mothers Day - and seemed completely overwhelmed. It was a gray day and we had reserved for outdoor seating since we had a dog. Right from the start, the hostess did not take people standing in line in order and did not respect reservation times. They set us at an outdoor table with no setups and no one ever turned on any of the for heaters within view even though we asked repeatedly. Three waitstaff wandered by before we got water and set ups and the waitress complained it was hard to remember we were out there even though there were other parties outside. Food was cold and we had trouble getting more coffee, more water, more hot water for tea, or any service. All in all a bust. Waitress finally offered the 2 moms in our group complimentary champagne only after we had paid. We have enjoyed meals here before but will never go back on a holiday. It seemed like there was no house manager and staff were new or not well trained.

We had a reservation and were promptly seated right away. Unfortunately, a waitress never came to us for almost 20 minutes after being seated. Our food took an additional hour to be served. I do understand it was Mother’s Day and extremely busy. Poor planning for appropriate staffing.

With a reservation we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. We waited 45 minutes and then had to flag someone down to ask if we had a server. We had to flag down staff 2 times to ask for coffee. Two dishes for our party came out and were finished eating before the final 2 came out for our party of 4. It was pure chaos.

The food was delicious and came out very quickly - huge props to the kitchen staff! If you plan on visiting later in the evening (7:30pm and beyond), be prepared that some popular menu items may be sold out. The coffee is a bit pricey for the cup size imo, but it is pretty darn good coffee. Aside from that, it's a very lovely place to dine without having to leave the property.

It was a very interesting experience. Something had happened in the kitchen, so they only had a super limited menu which they called a buffet, but it wasn’t a buffet. Nice folks, though the burger was great.

Love the fact that it's not loud so you can have a conversation. Food is exceptional and very lovely service.

Our experience was okay. Service was slow. We weren’t given our drinks til several minutes after we got our appetizer. We also weren’t asked if we wanted an entree, so we had to flag over our server to order dinner about a half hour after getting our appetizers. The food was pretty good so no complaints there. We were still enjoying our second glass of wine when they started shutting down the restaurant (15 minutes early) without telling us. They shut the music off and the lights off, which was a passive aggressive way of kicking us out. The ambience was fine but the music was terrible. They played smooth jazz all night which gave me flashbacks of shopping in department stores with my mom. The nice part was that they brought out a free chocolate cake with a candle for my cousin’s birthday and three of the servers sang to her. Our waitress also gave us each a Costanoa pen before we left which was weird but thoughtful. In all, Cascade is worth a visit for the food and drinks, but don’t expect good service.

The food is outstanding! Great locally sourced vegetables and large meat portions, flavors are delicious! The whole family, 5 of us, thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered! Definitely recommend and we’ll definitely go again!

Food here is consistently excellent. Staff is warm and does their best to be attentive. As has been the case for our yearly visit for the past several years, it appears they are acutely understaffed in the front of the house. One server at breakfast, two at dinner for a fairly large dining room. Lovely servers, but they just can’t get to everyone. Count on a long wait to get the check or have a water refill. But it is vacation and it is warm inside and the food is delish — though getting very pricey.
