Using her grandmother's recipes from Guadalajara crossed with her cosmopolitan upbringing in Tijuana, Chef Gabriela's menu features authentic hand-crafted dishes and imaginative takes on classic dishes. All of Baja California is represented along with influences from other regions in Mexico.

Food was ok not as good as I expected. Ive been to casa Gabriella before and it was pretty good I don’t know what happened this time. Also the food arrived super late and the server was taking photos of the table next to us while standing and raising her arms above my dad’s head without saying excuse me. She eventually did but that was weird. Don’t think I’ll be coming back unfortunately.

Tempura cauliflower appetizer was quite good and a nice change from the typical apps that are vegetarian friendly. Quite large portion too. My wife had a salad that she said was really good. I had the sirloin enchiladas. The sauce was kind of a molé sauce and really good. But the enchiladas didn’t have much sirloin in them. Really nice looking restaurant inside in a great location.

I love this restaurant located in the heart of La Mesa. Everything from the friendly attentive service, the cool vibe decor and funky tableware, the creative plating of the delicious food that is prepared with passion serving great Mexican inspired dishes at a reasonable price.
