Casa D’A Is it outstanding? No. Is it bad? No. What you get is a fun time, non-offensive dishes at a reasonable (for NYC) budget. That’s a good night in our book. We live local and had family visiting. Our group included one teen and two (us) foodies. The meatballs were OUTSTANDING. Rest of the dishes were middle of the road. The guy belting Rat Pack standards two doors down added fun and a free show. All in all we’re there to spend time with family which is the point of Italian food in my mind. We all had smiles, then walked around the corner to Ferrara’s for desert.

My recent dining experience at Casa D'Angelo was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in the warmth of true Italian hospitality. The ambiance was inviting, with soft lighting and rustic decor that transported me to the heart of Italy. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients and a whole lot of love. I started with the antipasto platter, a delightful assortment of cured meats, cheeses, and marinated vegetables that tantalized my taste buds and left me craving more. For my main course, I opted for the homemade pasta, and let me tell you, it was out of this world. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were bursting with flavor. I savored every bite, not wanting the meal to end. Of course, I couldn't visit Casa D'Angelo without trying their famous brick oven pizzas. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The crust was crispy yet chewy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. It was like a little slice of heaven on a plate. To top it all off, I indulged in a decadent dessert – the tiramisu. It was light, creamy, and oh-so-satisfying. Just one bite and I was transported to dessert nirvana. Overall, my experience at Casa D'Angelo was nothing short of perfection. The food, the service, the ambiance – everything exceeded my expectations. I left with a full stomach and a smile on my face, already planning my next visit. If you're in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine that will transport you to the streets of Italy, look no further than Casa D'Angelo. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Great place with a lovely ambiance. Staff was friendly and inviting. Food was delicious and a good sized portion. The polpettine was out of this world! The affogato was also great as was the house made complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal!

I have eaten here twice, the first time was wonderful service, food, wine and ambience. Most recently recently we had a disappointing experience. Our server was not attentive, we had to wave down other servers several times to get things we had ordered. They were out of the wine we wanted and offered several other options which were not to our liking. The signature dish of the cheese wheel Alfredo with pasta was delicious, but the other food was just OK.

If you are choosing casa de Angelo because you were a fan of the original Angelo’s in the past, you will be disappointed. While the menu looks very similar, the flavor profiles are not the same. Our waiter was Hugo and he was wonderful / professional, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the house salad and while the portion was generous enough for two and the lettuce/spinach mix was fresh, the dressing had no seasonings at all. It tasted like nothing more than a mediocre olive oil and vinegar. It took a fair amount of table salt and pepper to liven it up. We ordered the Capellini de Angelo pasta which was listed as a spicy tomato sauce - this dish was part of the original Angelo’s. Again, the ingredients were fresh but little flavor and nothing even close to spicy. The bread we were served was stale- It is possible, although not likely, that the humidity got to the bread before we did as we were sitting outdoors. Overall - high marks for fresh food and service and low scores for flavor.

Casa D’Angelo did not disappoint. The service was super attentive, the menu on point and the food absolutely delicious. Such a solid restaurant that rises above every time in Little Italy. We will always choose Casa D’Angelo for authentic Italian food. Great wine as well. Thank you!!
