COOKING WITH FIRE, SOUTH TEXAS STYLE Carriqui celebrates the South Texas tradition of drawing flavor from fire. Inspired by the flight path of our namesake bird, our menus feature regional favorites from the Rio Grande Valley, Texas coast, and the Hill Country. Nearly every dish is touched by the glowing embers of our custom-forged pits, smoker, or grill, all fueled by native wood. Along with housemade tortillas, cold margaritas, and warm hospitality, each meal is an opportunity to experience the vibrant food and spirit of our South Texas culture.

Our server was excellent and made great recommendations! We enjoyed everything we ordered, as well as the refreshing ambiance. Will be back!

Nice and clean restaurant. At the Pearl and it has free parking and valet parking for a fee. Good food.

The ambiance and food was great. While the server was very friendly, she was slow and it seemed like she too many tables. At one point, we saw our drinks ready to be delivered and they were there so long, someone else brought them to our table. We will try it one more time and hope the poor service was a fluke.

It was Texas style bbq with a focus on well prepared smoked meat. The bbq sauce was not the highlight and was light and offered some heat. The sides were tasty and complimented the meat dishes. The Caesar Salad was a classic Caesar with out croutons--spectacular.

The staff was friendly. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive which is a little long for me. But maybe they were short staffed that day. Our waiter was nice but he looked very busy. I got the brisket plate and it was very tender definitely worth the wait. My husband got the birria plate and felt it lacked flavor. The drinks were good and strong. Overall a cute date night option if you don't mind waiting awhile for your food.
