Spice chorizo distorted the tuna taste in the tuna tartare. It was not a good combination. The filet mignon was cooked medium instead of medium rare and it was really hard. The worst steak I have eaten in Atlanta in my six years living in this city. The caviar frites had no caviar at all; why even mention it!!. The lichee martini was very good. The hamachi crudo was very tasteful as well as the lobster. Th noise was unbearable. The music was to loud and it was more for a bar (DJ) for a dancing floor. You could not hear your date speak. The price we paid for this dinner was to expensive for what we got. We will not return.

My parents went to dine here and had a fantastic dinner and evening. They said the swordfish and dessert were outstanding, and so was the attention of all the staff. Can’t wait to visit with my husband when we can!

This restaurant is located in Buckhead Village. We ordered starter cocktails: Old Fashion and Lychee Martini. Great drinks. The tuna tartare was fresh and presented nicely. The mushroom toast was good. It reminded me of a pizza. The hot milk cake is a MUST! We had the lobster scramble, shrimp and grits, and steak and eggs. All dishes were delicious and well presented. All plates were cleaned.

The food and ambiance was excellent. All of Caitlyn, our server's recommendations were delicious. The tuna tartar, lobster and the scallops were all wonderful. I'll definitely be going back.

Birthday dinner here was fantastic! The tuna tartare and roasted oysters were my favorites, but everything we ate was fantastic! Great service, cool ambiance, and overall amazing experience :)

It was our first time at Carmel and I don’t think we’ll return. Nothing was horrible, it’s just with so many restaurant options in Atlanta, Carmel is not a stand out for us. The octopus was delicious. Everything else was mediocre and the service, while friendly, was terribly slow.

I enjoyed my dining experience here. I ordered the smoked mushroom tagliatelle; it could've used more seasoning but overall wasn't bad. The service was amazing and our server was very thorough and friendly.

Excellent food and service. Jenee was a great server and guided us through the menu. The cocktails were creative and delicious. The tuna tartare and pork belly tostadas were really tasty. For the mains, the scallops were really well made and the tagliatelle with chicken had an amazing sauce. Highly recommend.

Great experience the restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. We went late on a Sunday and it was not busy. Made for a great anniversary dinner.

The food was OK. The menu seemed a bit redundant and forgettable. However, I love the ambience. The drinks were great. Our server was personable and attentive. However he spoke very fast, so it was hard to understand his recommendations and description of menu. It was almost as if he was in a hurry, although we were his only patrons. I personally think the food was a bit overpriced for what it was. Again, it was a bit forgettable. Nothing really stood out.

From cocktails, to appetizers (the best shrimp we’ve ever had), to entrees… absolutely spectacular!! This made for a beautiful date night and the atmosphere and design is lovely!

Vibe was outstanding. Food was average at best. Favorite dish was the pork belly tostadas. Everything else was to be desired for the price point. Cocktails were decent but $18-20 per. I don’t think I would go back for dinner but would absolutely return for drinks and loungy vibe. Service was great staff was super friendly. A little on the slower side but as long as you plan for an hour min that won’t impact your experience.

Carmel was really, really disappointing. We are huge fans of Bellina Alimentari from early on, and of Chef Tal's Rina as well, but Carmel was an almost complete failure. The lobster cannelloni filling was bland and mealy, instead of light the hamachi crudo was an unrecognizable almost brown color, the seafood tasty and well-prepared, but papardella was overcooked and the sauce was unremarkable, and and the mushroom pasta needed salt, I was told. The sweet potatoes and the halibut stole the show! The lemon cheesecake we tasted and left, and the actual cake in the milk cake was ordinary. The air conditioning was either not turned on, or malfunctioning. The restaurant was "Oh my gosh, I'm sweating," hot, and really, really loud, with strange zither type music, blaring over guests having to repeat themselves, because conversation was impossible.

Our first time dining at Carmel and it was not disappointing. After being seated promptly, we enjoyed creative cocktails while going over the menu. There were several vegetarian options that were excellent. My wife's shrimp appetizer and diver scallop entree were both very good. I probably shouldn't have had the espresso martini to end the evening but it was very good as well. Service was attentive and discreet. We will definitely return.

Great Ambiance and Beautiful interior. The wait for service was a little long but the wait for food was really slow. There were not many people in the place so it wasn't like they were behind because of the number of people. The food was good. They seemed to be out of a lot of their red wine selections.

I've dined at Carmel in Atlanta twice now, and on both occasions, I've left thoroughly pleased. Last night, I visited with my husband and mom, and despite the slow start to the evening, the restaurant soon picked up. Our server was a standout, catering to our needs with expertise and even accommodating my dairy-free requirements with grace. We indulged in a variety of starters, including the flavorful ceviche with snapper and shrimp, and the pork belly tacos that packed a spicy punch. The bibb salad was a refreshing delight with its lightness and unique touches like jicama and dill. For mains, the perfectly cooked scallops stole the show, while the red snapper unfortunately missed the mark with its overcooked and fishy taste. However, the sides of glazed carrots and fried sweet potato wedges were undeniable hits. We rounded off the meal with the decadent chocolate ganache dessert. The atmosphere at Carmel is lovely, with enjoyable music setting the mood. Despite the initial quietness, the exceptional service and (mostly) consistently delicious food make Carmel a must-visit spot in Atlanta. I also had a fantastic experience during my previous visit, particularly enjoying the octopus appetizer and chicken entrée.

Good service and atmosphere. Bibb salad was extremely fresh and huge, plenty for two people to share at dinner. My friends loved the red snapper and halibut. The hamachi pastor crudo had too much sauce. The lime coconut cheesecake was a perfect smaller portion and awesome. It would really help if the restaurant provided valet and parking information on their site

Our first experience at Carmel was so exceptional that we returned with our guest. Once again, our expectations were exceeded…from the calming yet festive ambience to the superb service we received from Janae to the culinary excellence of the food! Carmel has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants and we can’t wait to bring more friends with us all the way from Gwinnett County! LOL

Carmel is a lovely spot with warm interiors and an inviting bar. I wish I could say good things about the food. The menu looks terrific, with lots of fresh seafood starters and several seafood mains, but the execution was wrong. We tried the tuna tartare but could not taste the tuna under the overwhelming chorizo spiced sauce. The crab salad was okay, but freshness did not come through. The halibut entree was fair. The cobia entree, like the tuna, was overwhelmed by a sauce that had no reason to be on a mild fish. Great place for drinks, but I would have to be convinced of a new menu or chef to go for dinner.

Amazing. Loved it. Ate at the bar and had brunch. Barman was fantastic - excellent service. Oysters were super fresh and bright, and the signature Old Fashioned cocktail is a must have!
