    As ever we had a delicious meal at Carluccios and service from Kerry was excellent We've been going to Cambridge Carluccios for years as one of us is gluten free and feels 100% confident about GF options I've signed up for offers now for several years and usually receive a birthday offer of a free glass of fizz ( birthday this month ) or 50% off mains.......not this year Unfortunately I got no offers this time. Despite having a blue light card I was told this was no longer valid for a discount either. Added to this we got a 12.5% service charge added on our bill !!! We always leave a tip of 10% so felt aggrieved we were given no option other than to pay an obligatory higher service charge which we don't have faith will even go to the staff. Was really not happy with the added service charge as it was totally unexpected. It wasn't even mentioned so you need to check your receipts before leaving a tip !!! Bit sneaky if you ask me.

    Good food. Great value. Friendly service. Used a voucher to get greater value. Would recommend this restaurant.

    I don’t normally write negative reviews but felt I had on this occasion. The service was awful, our starters were put down (some of which were missing) & immediately the waiter said he would bring out our mains!!?! We asked for at least 10 mins to eat the starters first! We ordered drinks & they didn’t arrive! We asked to split the bill at the end. We’re told we couldn’t as their system didn’t allow this! So as the non drinker I had to pay for a proportion of the other guests alcohol which was considerable! There was no toilet paper in the rest room! The location was great & that’s the only positive I’m sorry to say !

    This was very disappointing; there were five of us post-theatre performance. The shared antipasti was reasonable except the foccacia was dry and stale. My husband and son had steaks which they enjoyed but my husband asked for salad instead of french fries - he received a lump of rocket (no tomatoes, peppers, cucumber or anything else usually in salad) and still had french fries. Two of us had lasagne which was hard in parts and appeared to have been reheated by microwave. The puddings eventually arrived but only after asking twice. There were four waiting staff but only one seemed to be doing anything and she was rushed off her feet. She remained cheerful but just couldn’t cope as the restaurant filled up - we were there from 5.30pm to 7.15pm. The only thing that arrived promptly was the bill!

    House red wine was a very drinkable red. Reasonable price. Steak was just how I like it, salad well presented and just right amount. We would have liked a dressing for the salad and mustards French and English to go with the steak. The desert of Tiramasu was good coffee was served as I requested.

    The restaurant was not busy as the staff were restricting the numbers of people due to lack of staff, the service was very slow, starter mixed platter was good, main course took 40mins to arrive and had to request staff to chase as we were at the theatre main course was very poor wife chicken Milanese was very dry and tough roast rosemary potatoes were deep fried and no rosemary my chicken saltenbucca was just a flat piece of chicken with a two inch square piece of Parma ham and a nondescript sauce and clod again greasy potatoes, the waitress was very nice and polite

    Very disappointing. Long wait for food - stale croutons on salad and very small portion of lasagne and we’re not big eaters! Waitress carried food very close to her body. Coffee best bit! Will never return.

    We booked a table for 6:30 only to be told at about 6:00 that the restaurant closed at 7:00 and thwrefore had to cancel

    Celebrating my Daughter’s Birthday. The restaurant didn’t have the table ready at the time booked. There was some confusion over the booking. Service was very very slow. We had to asked several times for water for the table. Food quality was inconsistent. Clearly badly understaffed. Disappointing experience. Especially as I have been a patron of this restaurant for over a decade and the standard over the last few years have significantly slipped.
