Enjoy a wonderful dining experience with family or friends at Carelli's. Owner Greg Carelli with help from his father Gene wanted to offer guests authentic Italian cuisine in a contemporary setting that features a large open flame fireplace, mosaic tiles, natural Birch woods, and warm lighting. An appetizer of fresh mozzarella and Beefsteak tomato caprese, lightly breaded calamari or lamb artichoke meatballs will please the palate at Carelli's. Guests can dine on baked jumbo shells stuffed with spinach and ricotta , the classic chicken parmigiana or shrimp scampi. Artisanal pizza, calzones, and paninis. Awsome Gluten-free options are also available.

Carelli's was the winner of the Daily Camera Reader's Choice 2002-2020 award for Best Italian Restaurant and ambiance. It also has won awards from the Denver Post and Boulder Weekly magazines. It has an awesome bar scene and an extensive wine list. Carelli's restaurant features daily fresh fish specials.

This place tries to be a high end Italian restaurant but it’s not. A good restaurant of any type never brings one course while people are still eating the prior course. And trains the servers not to say “working on,” and not to say “we,” as in, “are we still working on that?” That’s common, but not at a good restaurant, and not at one with these prices. I was still “working on” my appetizer when they brought the entree. Which sat there for 10 minutes getting cold. Again, very common, but not ok at these prices. Also not ok not to know who ordered what. You should never have to ask customers what they ordered. Not at a good restaurant, even in Boulder. I know i have high standards, but even so.

Had a fantastic experience on Saturday night. Our server was on top of everything. Great wine list. Calamari crispy and delicious. We stuck with more traditional Italian Pastas. Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan classic and delicious.

Used to love Carelli’s. But the last few times… Last night: 6:45 reservation for 4 - seated promptly then waited 10 minutes for a server to come to the table? “Bread and drinks on the way” - then the bread (which is still awesome) shows up after the apps? We had Calamari - used to be light breaded and delicious; now rubbery and underdone? I had the egg plant stack as main course - 4 slices of egg plant and very little goat cheese… ehh $300 for ehh!?

First time dining here as we are new to Colorado. Our server Nick was very nice and attentive. We did have to wait a bit even with a reservation. I think they forgot about us. I am sure we will come back.

The food is excellent. We had mussels, Veal Piccata and Tiramisu and white wine. The Veal Piccata portions were very big. ..lots of leftovers. We have been coming here for a very long time.

Sadly, our table was at the back right by noisy dirty dish station. Plus the staff would complain about things to each other right by us. Food was good, server was super busy & we felt like an afterthought.
