Located just across the courtyard from sister restaurant Carbone in the Dallas Design District, Vino is a new concept from Major Food Group celebrating timeless artisanship and the most coveted wines of Italy. The service at this candlelit trattoria is polished and warm, while the menu features an extensive selection of handmade pastas, Sicilian pizzas, fresh gelato, and entrées like a signature fried veal chop prepared “your way.” In order to provide diners greater opportunity to taste some of the finest vintages available anywhere, the restaurant’s peerless wine program is available both by the bottle and quartino.

It was cold, AC vents were dripping onto my Dad. Service was terribly slow. They were out of Calamari, and a few other common items that we wanted to order. It was ok, but probably won’t go back.

From the hostess at the start being very rude to the server with witty remarks. I wanted to take my mother out for an early Mother’s Day dinner and she was freezing to which I asked to be moved they said no which I understand if you are fully committed. Yet not a single table was sat until we left which was almost two hours later. I had to ask twice for them to cut down the A/c. The second time it was actually cut and for reference of how cold it was the table next to us literally had blankets on . Food was okay but service was terrible I should have just gone to nobu if I wanted to be treated like a customer. To add on when making my reservation I specifically asked for a nice table since we were celebrating and we were seated right next to a server station where servers were squeezing by us to get into the bar area. Will definitely not be coming back Drakes spicy rigatoni pasta is better with better service.

Servers and host were knowledgeable and very helpful. Felt very welcomed and comfortable. They even made custom drinks specifically for me and my friend from the bar. Hospitality was A++. Food was good overall; For the price, I feel like the portions could’ve been bigger but the taste was great. I would recommend and would return again

Food was great, but I made the wrong reservation expecting to be on the Carbone side because we wanted the full service. The service was a bit overbearing unfortunately 4 waiters came up to us in the first 5 minutes asking for our water preference. Over all I would dine here again but not on the Vino side.

Our table side dessert was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The service is perfection and the attention to detail is incredible.

Amazing experience! I felt like I was in Italy at a restaurant. The food was 10/10. We ordered the popular spicy rigatoni, mini meatballs, potatoes, and garlic chicken. We also ordered the Mockingbird and Passionfruit which did not disappoint. I would recommend for a girls night out or date night.

Everything was wonderful but for the extreme wait time; the curtness of the host stand was both unbecoming and aggravating. I understand it was Valentine’s, however, that is not an excuse for poor planning.
