One of the most influential American restaurants of the last decade, Major Food Group’s CARBONE serves Michelin-starred Italian cuisine in an energetic, highly glamorous setting. The New York Times probably put it best: “It is a fancy red-sauce joint as directed by Quentin Tarantino, with a technical prowess that can make you giddy and an instinct for sheer entertainment that makes a lot of other restaurants seem like earnest, unimaginative drones.”

In addition to Dallas, Carbone currently has locations in New York City, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, and Hong Kong. Major Food Group Co-Founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, and Rich Torrisi are also behind Sadelle’s, The Grill, ZZ’s Club, Parm, and Dirty French, to name just a few of the company’s other hit concepts.

Overall I enjoyed the place, it looked nice, perfect for date nights. However, I was shocked with the price they charged for Shrimp Scampi dish, $32 PER shrimp. I was disappointed with the presentation, taste of this dish, nothing special about this. I could name a few top notch restaurants in Dallas where they have better Shrimp Scampi dish and pricing.

Overall experience definitely a 10+! Very attentive staff and ambiance was perfect! Good music & food was over the top delicious and filling.

The previous time we went to Carbone-Dallas ... it was incredible. But, we had Kyle as our server. It is quite amazing how a server can make or break your experience at a restaurant. Last night, we had Tim C. ... and it made the overall experience a whole lot different. First, was his personality .. or, lack thereof. Seemed put off from the start that we were seated at one of his tables. His timing on everything was way off ... dishes came out extremely slowly with no apologies and when he did decide to come by and check on us, he was borderline rude about it. Never re-filled our wine glasses and only acknowledged at the end my son's birthday by taking away the complimentary cookies he had already delivered and coming back with them with a candle stuck in the middle. Gee, thanks Tim C. Quite disappointing since our previous experience was so good. Tim C. did not represent Carbone-Dallas very well last night.

I had high hopes for Carbone given it bears a big name from NYC. The food was good but it was my husband’s birthday as I indicated in my reservation - there was no candle or special plating for this at all yet we saw other table had candled desert served for birthday. We ordered two deserts still didn’t bother to give us a candle yet our server clearly knew it was a birthday because he said happy birthday right before we signed the check. I am disappointed - don’t ask if this is a special occasion if you don’t really plan to offer anything to help celebrate. In addition, we had to ask for water multiple times and our check was almost 350 for 3 people, we can have much better experience elsewhere more upscale with better service and Italian food. We won’t return.

The food was decent. It wasn’t as good as the other locations that we’ve been to. The service was extremely slow. For the first 45 minutes we were there we weren’t sure which guy our main waiter was. We saw him once in that 45 minutes. The guy filling up water glasses and getting everyone drinks was better and more attentive. The entire time we were there, 1.5 hours, we saw our waiter 3 times and that was including when we placed our order. We will probably not return to this location

Got seated 30 minutes after our reservation. Hostesses were incredibly rude. Food was delicious and wait staff very kind.

Took my team there for dinner. It was a good experience, lots of food is brought to your table when you sit down, various breads, pickled veg, and salami. We felt a little pushed to do multiple courses and as it was we ordered way too much food. The wine list is ridiculous, not enough affordable good wines that you might recognize. Tried a lot of things but stand out were the eggplant cold appetizer, the angle hair AVP and the sea bass. Luckily I was on an expense account otherwise it is very pricey for Italian.

From moment we walked in til we left, everyone was kind and welcoming. The staff was amazing and helpful, food absolutely delicious, and had an amazing bottle of wine. Ambiance was absolutely beautiful
