Capers on Main serves contemporary American fare with a Southern influence in an open kitchen restaurant. Start the meal off with a serving of hickory-smoked salmon in a dill mayo sauce, Southern style green tomatoes, or the best calamari in the city. Capers offers a diverse menu including mouth watering pastas, Hawaiian ribeye, apricot glazed New Zealand lamb, Mississippi catfish, Herb crusted grouper, Georgia mountain trout, and daily specials.
The bar has a full service plush lounge with comfortable couches where you can enjoy our hand crafted cocktails and live music by Grammy award winning artist Paul Joseph.

I truly hate rating a place with such great food and service so low… BUT… I wish someone would have warned me… sitting outside was a big mistake. I don’t live in the area so I never expected…. There were super loud “race” cars reving their engines. There were people cruising (I guess) with loud music thump thump thumping away and THEN there was a LOUD, what I guess was “domestic” situation right in the parking lot in front of our table. A manager came out and tried to defuse the situation and I really felt for the guy. Would I return to Capers? Yes. Would I sit outside? Not in a million years. It’s a shame because I know the people of Capers on Main deserve better.

Food as always was excellent. Our waiter tried to Make the best of a kitchen problem as best as possible. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food from ordering it. I couldn’t get a mixed drink as the bar was too busy. My waiter offered to make my drink but didn’t know how. Several people left without ever getting their food. No one ever came over to explain issues in kitchen. That’s not good! Too many other places in town if this continues. You lost me Capers as another visit!

Wow. We have been to Capers several times, but maybe never again and certainly not on some holiday. Went for Mother's Day dinner. What an awful experience. I'll keep it pretty short, though I could detail every bad thing. We sat for 1.5 hours before being served our entrées. My daughter ordered crab cakes, but they brought trout. The waiter said they could not get her crab cakes, even though others were coming out. Then he said he understood our frustration and "if it was me, I would have walked out a long time ago." Yep, that's what the waiter said. (other prospective diners were walking out after long waits.) Oh, and no adjustment to the bill either. I think Capers is more about serving the to-go orders than the folks sitting there.

Being that I am actually from Panama City,Fl (Gulf) my expectations were high from the advertisements of food being from the gulf….. I was disappointed. Please do not advertise food as being from the gulf if it is truly not. Also I made reservations and still had to wait for a table… The food was okay. The drinks were better. I would visit again but maybe only at the Bar next time.

I've been wanting to try this establishment for some time now, we decided Mother's Day would be perfect! Once we arrived the host was gracious and offered my mother a chair while we waited for our table, she recently fell and can't stand to long this sealed the deal🙌🏾. Our server had to be new bc he wasn't helpful, didn't know anything on the menu but he was nice and friendly. The food was pretty good except they ran out of oysters, asparagus and brussel sprouts🙃. My mom enjoyed, so we may return.

We celebrated Mother’s Day with a party of 8. We requested that we could get a room for our party. Caper’s responded to this request and they provided that for us. Our waitperson was attentive, friendly and so pleasant. Our food was served very quickly and was delish!! We ordered fried green tomatoes, salmon salad, blackened chicken with bowtie pasta, lobster BLT, hamburger with sweet potato fries, fish sandwich—all wonderful!! I wish the atmosphere was updated, but that won’t keep me from coming back! Well done Caper’s!!! Thank you for doing it right, which is rare these days!!!

Service is Key. Anything can happen at any great establishment. BUT, if the service is below par, the experience at a great establishment fails. We waited a long time for cocktails. We were not made aware of the bartenders wait on clean glasses until we asked twice about our order. Once seated for dinner, the waitress made an attempt to make up for what occured in the bar area by rushing through the appetizer and dinner selections, all while keeping her eyes on the next table. That lead me to look over at the other table. We told her we just want to relax and enjoy the appetizer and meal. Service issues can be easily corrected. I will continue to patronize this establishment as I have over the years.

Great local restaurant! The main entrees are all great but sides are a bit bland. The calamari and bruschetta are the very best we’ve ever had and the desserts are amazing. Love the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

The check in process was chaotic. Too many guests in the lobby trying to check in at the same time while staff bobbing and weaving between guests. My table was broken. Asked to be moved to another table. That one was broken too. Cut the experience short after starters as there was too much to think about while trying to relax for a dinner date.

Mashed sweet potatoes paired perfectly with crab cake and kale salad was shredded and very tasty. Portions are very generous-go hungry or share! Chris our waiter was friendly, professional and helpful. Loved seating at back corner of patio as had a little one in tow. Music & lights nice.

The server was good but had too many tables, inside and out. Took a while before she came to our table. Been coming here for years and while the food is always good it seems to be getting heavier. Maybe they are using more cream or butter in their side dishes.

We were greeted well and had a great area to sit. The server said they didn’t have lemons yet they came on our plates. I asked several times for lemons and limes and did not get them right away. The food was OK. We will still go back.

Our drink order took 20 minutes to be delivered and was incorrect when delivered. My side dinner salad was delivered as a salad entree at the same time as my dinner entree. Our order of a bottle of wine with dinner was not delivered until we were half way through our dinner.

My server brought me someone else’s meal. This delayed the arrival of my meal. Everything else was fantastic!

Capers is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Cobb County, GA. The food is excellent and the service is always very good. I have recommended this restaurant each time when asked for a recommendation for an excellent, all around, place to eat.

Dinner was an entirely different experience than lunch. We are normally used to a seasoned wait staff but it seems that they many young new wait staff. We Had to wait a while to be seated even with a reservation. Six other parties were seated while we waited in the small lobby. We ordered mixed drinks and our food at the same time. While our food arrived, someone else finally had to finally bring our mixed drinks to us (after our food). The live music was just sad. Let me say the music was wonderful, It was really the vocals that was not the best.

I thought our meal and the service were excellent. The only thing I didn't like is it was VERY loud. We went on a Saturday night. Next time I'll go on a weeknight so it won't be as crowded.
