This was our first time at the Canyon Breeze Restaurant. It was Mother’s day, and I found this restaurant had availability. I’m so glad we at there because it was in a really nice area. The Sunday Mother’s Day brunch was out of this world. The staff were very accommodating. We will definitely be eating there again soon.

Canyon Breeze has a nice variety of options to choose from, however I found the food to be too bland. Perhaps they are cooking with low salt, but there are many other ways to bring in more flavor. Dessert options were very disappointing and even the ice cream with cookies left a lot to be desired. The chocolate chip cookies tasted like they were from the grocery store and the ice cream was not great. The highlight of the meal was the fresh dinner salad and the shrimp. Another note, the menu is the same every night and it would be nice to have variety!

dinners were very disappointing. poor quality, poor presentation, too much wasted food from all tables! everything a red mountain (hikes, workshops, spa services) were great. but I will not return based on the changes in food service and nutritional choices...... also I spoke with numerous other women who all felt the same way!

Portions of meat are very small. Expensive for about 4 oz of bison tenderloin with no sides, and only the sauce on the meat. Everything is ala carte. Drink was very light and usually I can tell there is vodka; seemed more like lemonade for $14. No gluten free breads or crackers. Waitstaff were very nice and quick. Hostesses accommodating. Restaurant has a different feel than in the past. 15% service charge automatically added for a table of 2! Good thing I looked at the itemized description otherwise I would have given 20% on my tax, already added service charge, etc.

The Brunch while having various options was just so so. Pasta was doughy, pasta salad overly spicy, breakfast options limited and the desert table was like a Walmart special! The staff is wonderful, always available, polite and helpful! Just need a NEW CHEF!

OMG what happened to the wonderful food? No more buffet or great variety! The only good thing is the staff- they are outstanding! The old chef is sorely missed and the new one needs the boot! Some of the food is so spicy it burns your tongue. I came back to the resort really looking forward to the fresh flavorful food! Very disappointed 😟😩

Convenient if you're staying here. Overall, it's an expensive hotel brunch with cold gravy, overcooked eggs, and a truly horrible "specialty" green margarita that tasted like pickle juice. It's worth the drive into town to pay much less for a better meal.

We always loved the dining experience at Canyon Breeze. However when they removed the buffet most of the plant based menu options went away. The black bean burger option was not good at all. There are better options out there for a plant based burger. Our hope is that the chef creates healthier menu options one day.

We enjoyed this place so much in January we were excited to return. What a disappointment to find the new chef made things much less enjoyable. What had been delicious fresh focaccia bread was toasted and fried. The salad was standard and boring. The ravioli also was oddly fried, with a very heavy sauce. We persisted on through dessert but the raspberry sabayon wasn't even a good flavor. Very dismayed at the change.

Not impressed. Was looking for another excellent place to dine in the Ivins, Santa Clara, St George area, but didn't find it here. Menu was very limited, which is not a deal breaker - a couple of appetizers, a butter leaf lettuce salad, a beet salad, 4-entrees, Branzino, Duck Breast, NY Strip Steak or a Cauliflower dish (vegetarian option) and a couple of desert options. Salads were $12-14, Entrees $35+. Service was so-so, waitstaff was not terribly attentive. When the check came, I noted that a 15% service charge had already been added to the bill, although there were just two of us dining. I would customarily have left a 20% tip, even given the level of service. But, not when the management takes it upon themselves to add a service charge accompanied by rather pultry service. I'll stick with Xetava, Aragosta, Cliffside, & Painted Pony.

Of course, we miss the previous, multi-year Chef. Service was attentive and efficient. The winter slow season a la carte menu could use more salad (with protein), soup, appetizers and small entrees, particularly for the Red Mtn spa goers. Recommend berries and other fruit (w/ or w/out plain yogurt) as a dessert option. That said, the Staff is really trying here, and we are grateful Red Mtn Resort and its restaurant are open year round.

Arrived a little early for our reservation and were seated right away. Sat outside and it was quite lovely, with the desert landscaping, red mountains, roaring fire, and quiet band playing music in the background. Given that this the resort promotes itself as wellness oriented, there were very few clean options on the menu. Heavy on the gluten/dairy/meat options. Not sure if our waitperson was having a bad day, but she was definitely not very friendly. My inquiry about which of 2 options she would recommend earned an eye roll and noncommittal statement that she couldn’t really say what’s good. After our food came, she didn’t check back until we asked for the dessert menu and a check. Had she checked in with us, I would have let her know that the confit of onion and blistered pepper under my halibut were ice cold - not just room temp, but like the plate had been sitting in the fridge waiting for the halibut and someone forgot to reheat it. The halibut was actually good, just slightly overcooked. The chicken breast was also a little dry/overcooked, but the french fries we ordered on the side were quite good. The green salad was nice, fresh. We shared and had to ask for plates, which got another eye roll. The bread was not good. It was a focaccia style that was extremely dry, even though it was drenched in some kind of oil or butter. The Brussel sprouts starter was ok. It says it comes with a romesco, but it was marinara which is definitely not the same thing. We shared apple crisp for dessert. It tasted good, but the topping was mushy and undercooked. It came with a coconut ice cream which was a nice flavor pairing. We were told it was vanilla, but it was definitely coconut. The young man who took care of our water/bread was quite nice and very attentive and he’s the reason we gave more than 1 star for service.

Expected something at the level of Xetava Cafe near Canyon Breeze. Food is artistically beautiful to look at but not satisfying. Was too windy and cold for outdoor and we should have moved inside when leaves were blown on our plates. My grilled peaches were cold and hard, my steak was sliced and lost its juices and cold.

This place is terrible. I feel like we were in 1972 old folks home.

I had the chicken dish. It was so salty I couldn’t eat it.

It was great but the wait times were suuuuuper long. Waited at the door for 10 minutes before a host greeted us (there wasn’t anyone in front of us), waited about 15 mins for our order to be taken, waited 20 minutes for our drinks, waited 30 minutes for the check. It wasn’t very busy and there appeared to be a lot of staff. Food was good and came out fast! Ambiance was awesome and the staff were all really nice.

We had both the breakfast buffet and dinner, twice. All meals were excellent! The food was fresh and plentiful. The staff were all so nice and helpful. Would highly recommend!!

Flank Steak, Ziti, Peach soup, and pork sausage were excellent. Salads were very good. All baked good were undercooked and stodgy, so not really edible. Omelet Chef was cooking everything on the highest flame and cooked the eggs until very brown. He really needs training. Fritata was terrible. We will not be going back for their brunch. Brunch was to start at 10am but Omelet chef was not there until almost 10:30am.
