They raised the prices and the usual quesadilla we always get was half the size. Charged extra for a side of sour cream. We will not be back

The restaurant was right along side the water of the Venetian. The vibe there is uplifting good music, good lighting. I had a reservation and did have to wait a bit but the hostess were very accommodating they offered the bar while we waited for our table to be set up. Frequently checked up on us to make sure we were good, and didn’t wait long for our table. I ordered the mushroom enchiladas and the tortilla was soft not over cooked, the green sauce was very rich filled with flavor and creamy. Would recommend that plate to anyone. Overall attentive friendly staff and nice ambience.

The food was amazing, the server was amazing I can’t remember his name though. 100% amazing . Server explained everything to what is popular to what he likes best. A great experience I would definitely go back. The best Mexican food in Las Vegas that I have tried.

Honestly being May 5th we expected a bit more. Although we made a reservation for 6:30, we were asked to sit at the bar, and then it felt like the hostess forgot about us. She finally came back over and asked what name our reservation was under again. she sat us at a table in the main restaurant. We specifically requests a table along the canal. When asked, she said sorry that is blocked off. There were 2 tables set up in the center with white table clothes so I assumed for a private booking. But there were still tables for 2 along the canal that she easily could have sat us at. In fact the other big table that was set up, never did get used. The server brought us our apps and we waited about 5 minutes for app plates. Our mains were ok. Felt like the pull pork taco was dry. Loads of flavor but dry. The fish taco needed some lime crema. We only ate about 2 tacos our of 10 between us. I think that should speak volumes. It's ok, you'll be fine without me as a patron.

Food was okay,however we had a hair in one of the orders of pozole and the waiter acted bothered and rude when we showed him. Never apologized or offered to replace with a fresh bowl or if we didn’t want it to take it off our bill. We had to ask for a fresh bowl and felt uncomfortable about it due to the waiters attitude. He automatically charged us gratuity for 3 people which I felt was wrong. That should have been a choice of our own. The location is nice and the rest of our food was good. The service was horrible!

Fabulous! We sat watching the gondolas go by eating a marvelous salmon lunch on Cinco de Mayo. The waitress knew if food ingredients and we very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.

Carlos was our waiter. Perfect from The start. It was our 25th Annv trip and he made an exceptional memory for us, first time in Vegas to for either of us. We loved every moment of our experience with your restaurant.

Food was not very good! Did not match pricing. Dry meat in tacos. Felt a bit rush when the restaurant was not busy. I mentioned it was a birthday and they didn’t do anything to help us celebrate. Disappointing! Would never recommend. :(

We have been coming to Cañonita for over 15 years and the food, drink and service are always amazing. One of the best parts of the experience is sitting next to the canal to see and hear the gondolier sing while rowing. I requested a table next to the canal when I made reservations through Open Table a month earlier. When we got there the hostess tried to seat us indoor near the bar and I told her we had requested a table by the canal. She told me there were no tables available and I showed her a table that had just been cleared. The hostess checked and told us we could have the table but the waiter was not ready for five minutes and instructed us to wait at the bar 10 feet away from the hostess station and they would get us in five minutes. Five minutes passed then 15 and we then realized that she had seated another couple that came in after us at our table. She then tried to seat us at a tiny little table near the bar barely big enough for drinks. I told her no that we come to this restaurant to have the experience of sitting next to the canal and showed her again that a table was empty next to the canal. Finally 10 minutes later they moved us to the table that we had requested a month earlier. Our waiter Alex was amazing and saved the night from the bad attitude of the hostess.

I had cazuela de mariscos, which was described as mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari, mahi-mahi, salsa rustica, cilantro, grilled bread. It was excellent! Like a bouillabaisse with a southwest/Mexican twist. I would go back just for that. We had a table by the water, where the gondola’s go past. A little cheesy but fun anyway. The service was very good. My husband didn’t like his food and wouldn’t return. So on this restaurant we had different experiences.

Good food and good service. Requested a table for 4 next to the canal and gondolas, but only tables for 2 are available right next to the railing separating you from the canal. We got the next closest table over and could still see the gondolas float by.

My husband LOVED the 5 taco sampler. He said every one of them was flavorful and delicious. I had the Mexico City enchiladas with beef and they also were very tasty. We both had margaritas - why not? - and they were excellent.

Service and the place it’s self was great, but the food get a thumbs down for me, maybe you might like it more then me, churros was good, but that’s all I can say about this place, no bueno. Sorry just my experience

Amazing food! Loved the chicken mole. They were busy so service was a bit slow. Two in our party ordered the ahi tuna and when they were served one had about 12 pieces and the other only 6. They remedied that. Overall, this is a consistently great spot if you’re on the Strip - even for locals!

We were excited to try this place out and it was a total letdown. Not only crazy overpriced but very mediocre Mexican food. Skip this place in the Venetian for sure.

The menu was no descriptive of the food. My daughter hated her food and didn’t touch it. I told the server it was as described and he offered nothing. Pretty disappointed. Out of 3 entrees I would give the food a 1.5 stars. I raised it bc the chips and salsa were the best part of the meal. I would never go back.

My husband and I sat by the canal . The view is spectacular. The food and drinks were amazing. Service was great. A must visit restaurant you won’t be disappointed.

Our chicken was raw - and the chef disagreed - then they charged us anyhow. Service was iffy to add insult to culinary injury. Hard pass again.

Nice restaurant with seating right on the canal. Good service and excellent food. The cazuela de mariscos was excellent, loaded with seafood and just the right spice level.

Our waiter was rude and rushed us the whole time. He took my plate away before I was even done eating. The appetizer was delicious the rest was meh. We won’t be back.

I sat at the canal side table for breakfast with my mom and it was lovely. The restaurant itself is quite small so I can see it could get quite busy so I recommend reserving a table. The ambience was perfect and our waitress was very nice too. The food was actually better than I expected because the only reason I went here was for the canal side table experience but even the food was great :)
