This Mother's Day Brunch returns to Canon for one day only! Join us for a special buffet featuring an assortment of our brunch classics as well as some new dishes, a full bar of innovative cocktails, beer, wine, and a live cooking station on the patio. This is a deposit only. Deposits are non-refundable. The full cost is $70 per adult and kids over 12 years old. Not including tax, service fees and gratuity. Cost is $35 for kids 2 years old to 12 years old. Not including tax, service fees and gratuity. The remainder of the cost will be charged on the day of event.

For parties of 8 or more, we offer a Large Party Prix Fixe menu: a multi-course, family-style experience which features dishes from our seasonal menu, and is the best way to dine at Canon with a larger group. This menu is priced at $72 per person (not including gratuity, tax, dessert or beverages) and the entire party must be included. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra dishes from our dinner menu.

Amazing experience! We shared small bites and had cocktails. Drinks were delicious and original. Best vegetables I’ve had since I went to French Laundry years ago. Perfect asparagus. Insanely good tots. Fresh pea salad I could eat every day. Chicken drumsticks, so different and delicious. Really inventive and fresh dishes. We did get this strawberry fudge dessert dish that was strange, but all was forgiven because dinner was just that good!

Parking is super hard and we ended up getting towed while enjoying our dinner which was quite a damper to the evening. Do yourself a favor and park far away and walk in. An extra $500 night and that was us getting our car back that evening. Would have been >$1000 if had to wait until Monday.

Cannon is always a great experience with amazing food. We always find a dish that goes above our expectations, which are quite high based on our previous experiences. If I want to take someone out for a great Sacramento experience, this is always one of the first places I think of.

A very poor dining experience. We went to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday and I let the staff know prior to our arrival what the occasion was. When we arrived the hostess was friendly and wish her a happy birthday, but that was the end of it. Our waitress seemed quite annoyed to be serving us, which was odd since we hadn’t even spoke a word to her. She almost never checked on our table, and when she did, we were greeted with annoyed looks and rushed interactions. We barely saw our waitress, and when we did, we all tried to be as friendly as possible, as we wondered if we did something to upset her. Our food was dumped at our table eventually and she never checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food is generally really good here, but the steak she brought was 60% fat and grizzle. Very unlike canon to serve such poor quality food. Lastly when it came to end of the meal, our waitress just dump the check and left. Absolutely nothing special for my wife, no dessert, no candle, not even the kindness of a “happy birthday.” I don’t expect them to sing or comp desserts for the table. But I thought they could done something, anything. For such an expensive dining experience, it was one of the worst ones we have experienced. Most of the food was very good (outside of the fatty steak), so I want to be fair in my review. But it was odd that they almost seemed to go out of their way to make my wife’s special day a little worse.

Every bite was delicious. Pickles, oysters, beet/pear/grain salad, lamb pave, stuffed naan. We are having the leftovers tonight and I can’t wait. Oh, I forgot to mention the lemon meringue pie. It was yummy.

We ordered a dozen oysters, naan bread, lamb dish and lemon pie + 2 cocktails each. Oysters you could not slurp because they had chunks of the broken shell in. So after we tried to slurp a couple and had to be spitting a couple of chunks of the shells, we decided to use the fork only. The downside of that is that you dont get to taste the whole water + vinegar mix with oysters. The naan bread was warm and delicious. Worth every penny. The lamb dish was not fresh. I could tell because when we went to grab it it was barely warm. It was dry in itself, that I had to use the sauce leftover from naan bread in order to help with it. Not a fan. Lemon pie was told my the waiter that its a personal size. It is not at all, we shared 1 and we had leftover. The lemon taste was overwhelming a bit, but it was okay overall. The cocktails were pretty good. We ordered 2 different ones, and had to reorder the same because they were very good. The area was okay, it wasnt the cleanest at all. There were spots on the bench booth, that I had to check before seating if they were wet spots or not. That is normal, i understand, but in the beginning i was caught by surprise. The noise is loud. It didnt bother me that much, but for some people that can be an issue. We sat inside. But i believe since one corner is open kitchen, another is open bar area and all the tables in the center, can make sense why so much noise. The waiter was very sweet. She did ask if we enjoyed everything & we did tell her yes. I know they can say why if we didnt like it. We picked that place, we should have read more, and we didnt go to ruin the waiter’s night with complaints The person that would help to clean up always asked if we were working on the drink or plates before removing anything. This helped because the naan bread for example looked empty, but I was using the sauce for the lamb and still needed it. General okay experience. Nothing special in my opinion, but maybe I did not get the right dishes.

Went on a date night for a special time out and enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating of my girlfriends food allergies which meant a lot to her and myself. Food was pretty great while falling a little short of being spectacular but still really happy with our dinners, the drinks were top notch and really impressive. The experience was a nice mellow and friendly time that we both left happy with

We ordered bite, three small plates and platter. The Nantes and broccoli came before the other small plate and the platter by 20 min approx. we can through two seatings of other patrons and I was dismayed fhst the platter did not come with the vegetables and instead came way before. And the whole chicken that my son ordered was flavorful and not too moist but tough. This was a $200 nigh for two people one of whom is vegetarian. Only one drink and one soda ordered. (This amount included tip). The broccoli was incredible. The Nantes good. The Naan was not really non and I couldn’t tell if it was goat cheese or not. No real goat cheese flavor came through the other flavors added to the cheese. And the Naan? It wasn’t naan. It was more like pita bread. The beet with grains dish was good. And the chicken as above Our server was fantastic - except for the delay in receiving the chicken (or being told it was running late or that it was your practice to serve it as a stand alone item. It was a wonderful night with my son - a celebration of his 30th birthday. But I had high hopes that the entire experience - not just our shared company - would make it a night to remember Thank you for requesting my input. Kim Jahnke

We had a very pleasant dining experience at Canon. The menu is not extensive but still offers a nice variety of options. We appreciated that there were some unique and creative items on offer. For example, we were unfamiliar with lamb pave, but gave it a try and loved it. Our waitperson, a young woman, was very knowledgeable of every item we inquired about and made some excellent recommendations. The large platters are intended for sharing. Even the small plates are good sized. We are early diners and enjoyed a quiet ambiance during most of our meal. As we were finishing, the noise level had matched up significantly. We will definitely return.

The food was excellent as was the service. My only challenge was that it was my husband s birthday. I called in advance and it was forgotten altogether. That said. The food was excellent and the service on point. Also thumbs up to the bartender. Best lemon drops in town

The food and service was very good but the noise level is just a little much for such a nice restaurant. The lamb pave was a little bland and was served at a little cooler temperature than we expected. The chicken, naan, and beans were all tasty and interesting as well as served at a warmer (better) temperature.

Not the same quality as before and everything had the same earthy taste to it. Not bad, not great. We ate small bites and had drinks for $120, I just can’t rationalize this anymore

It was early in their night so it was pretty quiet. The dining room might seat 50 which might get loud but it was peaceful and calm when I was there. I sat watching the kitchen and the guys were never in a rush. Food comes out when it’s exactly right and everything is placed instead of tossed. Drumsticks were incredibly good and I could have had 8. Tot stack had great texture and flavor. Dessert was fine but I would probably skip it and get more savory things next time.

I’ve always been a big fan of Canon East Sac. Ambience, food & service has always exceeded my expectations. Katie who took care of me and my girl for her birthday dinner was outstanding!!!

Another delicious meal. The only complaint is we ordered cocktails that we wanted to sip on but instead all our food started coming out so we felt rushed. It wasn’t our most relaxing visit but the food was amazing.

Great experience on a Sunday night. The restaurant was full but it felt quiet so we could still talk and hear each other. The food and cocktails were delicious - we ordered the hamachi, beets and grains, whole fish and crispy lamb with the stuffed naan. We will definitely be going back!

We had seven people in our party. The restaurant seated us in a private area for a birthday event dinner. We enjoyed the family style servings. The service was excellent and our waiter was knowledgeable and responsive to our questions, requests, and needs. We would have preferred to have a little more time between servings; however, the food was delicious.

An excellent restaurant with amazing food, and friendly and attentive staff. Very accommodating for our party of 9 in a private room. The family style fixed menu, for parties over 8, was perfectly portioned and well paired. They allowed us to also choose items from the main menu, which gave great flexibility for those who had their heart set on something off the fixed menu. Lastly, the drinks and deserts never disappoint.
