My husband had never been to Cane Rosso before, so I was so excited to introduce him to some of the best Pizza in Dallas! Sadly, I’ll likely never get him to come back. Our waitress never introduced herself (or really spoke to us at all) but she was a very unfriendly, average height, brunette with a pony tail. We were seated on the left side of the main room of the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer, then ordered our entrees about 10-15 minutes later. Our appetizer and my husband’s entree came up shortly after. We waited a total of 20 minutes after his entree came to receive mine. We received no communication (or check in) from our waiter so eventually chased down another waiter to see where mine was. He was very kind, apologized and said he would speak to a manager. A manager never came to our table, our waitress slammed my entree down and said “this is the worst day ever” before she stormed off. She never said that she was sorry for the poor service/entree delay and didn’t speak another word to us. The food was delicious but we didn’t love having to watch each other eat and agreed that it was the worst service we’ve experienced in years. Shocked that they can get away with that with the plethora of restaurants in Dallas.

Reservation was for 12:45, we were not seated until 12:55 and no one touched our table until 1:05 after I asked the manager. Drinks were not on table until 1:15. Manager acknowledged the issue but didn’t really do anything to rectify.

Cane Russo fell short of expectations during our recent visit. First off, there was a mishap with the serving dish that resulted in an unexpected shower for me and left my left side, completely soaked with water. While pizzas and a child’s meal arrived promptly, the rest of our order seemed lost in transit. With a Caesar salad arriving 15mins after the pizzas as well as the tots (for the kids meal) only after a reminder to the server. The pasta dishes (only 3) seemed to have embarked on an extended journey. However, the manager or owner displayed commendable professionalism, swiftly offering to remove the delayed meals from our bill and extending a gesture of a complementary dessert, which we declined due to the lengthy wait. Once the elusive pasta dishes arrived, they were flavorful and piping hot. Although the server initially overlooked the adjustment to our bill, the manager/owner promptly rectified the oversight, generously providing a $25 gift card. Despite the hiccups, Cane Russo’s management demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction, leaving a positive impression amidst the challenges encountered.

Our server was so happy, friendly and attentive the entire time. The food and drinks were excellent and our party of 8 had a great time.

For some reason it took over 45 minutes to get our pizza even though it was not busy. We also asked for ours to be well done but it was baked normally. Oh yeah also for some reason our reservation via open table wasn’t marked as here when we checked in even though I gave my name and reservation time. So later that night I got a nasty email from open table saying I violated their policy.
