Famous ribs were very disappointing. Calhouns has a reputation for their smoked ribs. I ordered a slab and was very disappointed as the meat was burnt on one side and both were very dry. Even with more sauce they were still very dry and tough because of being overcooked.

We came early, the Restaurant was open with many tables available. The hostess greeted us and as we were ready to follow her to the table, she took a call. She was on the call for a a significant time while we waited for her to complete the call. There was another hostess available to take the call. Rather than ask us if we would like to have a table by the window, she led us to a table in the center of the restaurant. I then asked her for a window seat, once again rather than ask me which table I would prefer, she sat us in one of the less desirable window tables . She was not at all friendly and put a damper on our first impression of the restaurant. Our waitress was excellent, the food delivered in good time. I ordered the half rack of ribs but was disappointed in the fact that it was luke warm..For being a signature dish, I was not impressed. Our visit overall was good, the rest of the food was well prepared. But the hostess definitely needed to be a little more pleasant and accommodating. And of course not take a call when she was ready to seat us..vey rude!

Absolutely wonderful. Out of town and found this restaurant open on Thanksgiving with an amazing buffet. Definitely would go again- enjoyed all the food

I had the Prime rib sandwich. It was delicious. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, tender, and very tasty. The spinach Maria is always good and the service was very good and friendly.
