We absolutely loved our time at Calabrese. I think this is best Italian food in the metroplex and we will definitely be returning soon.

We drove 60 miles to come to this overrated wannabe Italian restaurant. Everything is frozen or purchased from Costco. There is NO NONE ZILCH NADA good Italian place in DFW. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I canceled 3 times before finally going there and was deeply disappointed.

First and foremost our server was amazing, the attention to detail and menu knowledge was impeccable. She was personal, professional without being a “helicopter” server. The food was an epicurean delight… great suggestions. The manager paid us a visit and ensured that we were comfortable. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Our party of four had a lovely dinner with great service from Blake. Introduced a couple to Calabese & they were quite impressed. We're already looking at dates to return! Actually had a call this morning from staff to see if we enjoyed our evening! Top notch service!

Very few places in Texas offer quality, authentic Italian food. Calabrese does thanks to the chef and owner. My husband's grandmother is from the same region in Italy as the chef and has missed her cooking since she passed. Now we have somewhere that can duplicate the flavors. Our server was very helpful and attentive in a celebration of my Mothers 83rd Birthday with special surprises.

Great experience. Jeremy our server was awesome. Other staff were equally attuned and observant , e.g. while walking past our table would notice a finished plate and take it away. Sea bass delicious . Spinach cooked to perfection. Focaccia bread is the best. Was a special occasion , but looking forward to returning soon

The table we were sat at was in the corner, near the kitchen entrance, the door to the wine room, and next to a counter that servers went back and forth to. There wasn’t any reason to seat us at such a poor location. There were plenty of better tables available.

We had fabulous food and a great waiter. We were seated next to a table with a loud bunch for our anniversary dinner which wasn’t ideal. The size of the tables are small for four people drinks, plates and an appetizers during the meal. Otherwise the evening was good. We even we blessed with a special treat at the end of our meal from our waiter, it was a lovely surprise!

Had an excellent meal for three adults with comfortable outdoor seating and impeccable service. Order the mussels, they’re delicious. We also enjoyed a pizza, osso bucco, and raviolio. All were exceptional. Drinks were superb as well. 2nd visit for a Friday lunch, 2nd time very pleased with the experience.

I was really disappointed in the food. I had the citrus cosmo which was overly sweet. The calamari wasn't badly seasoned but it was under done. The hearts of palm salad didn't have any dressing to bring it all together - felt like it was just the ingredients thrown into a bow. The Caesar salad was underwhelming. My risotto was cooked well, but devoid of flavor. The lobster on top was also SUPER salty. My husband's cacio e pepe was also underwhelming. Overall, especially for the price, I don't think the value was worth it. It has a great ambiance, and I'd go back for a better drink and sit at the bar.
