My wife and I decided to revisit this restaurant after quite some time and found that their prices had gone way above what one had come to expect from a neighborhood eatery. In addition, the portions were smaller than previously experienced. My wife had the veal piccata and I had the wild boar osso bucco, both of which were merely OK. My vegetables were way too al dente to eat but I did enjoy the mashed potatoes and gravy. We brought our own wine because they have free corkage on Tuesdays. As always the service was excellent.

The Brazed Boar was excellent, and the Calimarie was the perfect appetizer. Service was spot on and the support staff was also positive and jovial.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The staff are knowledgeable about all of the dishes and wine, and offer amazing service. The owners are friendly and regularly about the restaurant checking in with diners. The food is always top notch and the desserts are delicious. The cherry on top of the evening is the complimentary lemoncello!

The dinner was very delicious! Friendly staff, waiter was a little dry. Place was super cute but a little crowded with tables. I would definitely go back.

A feel-good place. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome. They bend over backwards to accommodate your needs and anticipate your needs. It's small and cozy. You're in a good mood, and so are the other guests. The food is authentic Italian. Delicious. Dessert is displayed to you on a big tray at your table, a wonderfully cruel way of making it impossible to say no. And you'll be glad you succumbed to the temptation. One of our new favorite restaurants.

The lasagna was better than mine which is saying a lot. My lasagna won over my husband. The service was excellent, Nora was very attentive. A dirty dish didn’t sit longer than 30 seconds which is rare in restaurants nowadays. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go again. I’m dying to have chef put a carbonara on as a special.

We had a delightful anniversary dinner at Caffe Italian. The staff is warm and friendly and the Wild Boar and Calamari steak in lemon caper sauce were absolutely delicious. This is a hidden gem in Fair Oaks!

We are disappointed with the menu choices being much smaller and no veal which was the most important reason for us to visit this restaurant over the last 3 years

We sat outside, which is in front of the restaurant. It was crowded, but not overly. The service was great, a long list of specials, all sounded great. The salad was perfect, entrée was excellent. Dessert was light. All in all one of a favorite Italian restaurants.

We went to Café Italiano to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. We heard about it on KCRA channel 3. I checked the reviews online before we went, and they were all excellent. We had the fried calamari, coconut shrimp and pineapple appetizer and the batter was very light and not greasy and the fish very tender. My husband had the wild boar, and I had the risotto with prawns and scallops and they were both excellent. For dessert I had the banana tiramisu and he had the cheesecake and both were awesome. We Will be sure to return for our next special occasion dinner (or before with friends).
