Not a bad dish in the house. By far most delicious butter leaf salad I have ever eaten. Highly recommend this when in or near Sonoma.

Surprisingly, I was not impressed with this high rated restaurant. 3 of us ordered the risotto which was so watery and crunchy. 1 ordered lamb chops which were very chewy. No refill offered to iced tea drinker even after request. So many better options in area such as El Dorado and The Depot.

A Sonoma gem - not to be missed. Fantastic food, excellent wine list (that is not over-priced), great staff. More of a local's spot than a tourist destination (I mean that very positively!).

What a great local restaurant. I used to eat there regularly when in the area on business but had not been back to the area in 15 years. With much anticipation I took my dear friend, bragging about what a great meal we were about to enjoy. We were not disappointed!!! The service, presentation and food were fabulous; just as I had remembered!

Buttermilk chicken was a bit bland - the tuna dish was so/so. Sauces and veggies were good.

Always the best food, service, and hospitality in Sonoma. A couple of recent additions to the menu were out of this world...a trout tartare, and a seared tuna that had the most wonderful light sauce that had a tad bit of heat. Wine list is locally focused and continues to be one of the best in wine country. I've never had an experience here that wasn't outstanding.

Overall very good just know there is limited space so it is a tight squeeze with parties immediately on either side of some tables.

Cafe La Haye, has the butter leaf salad, and the pork chop. Salad was fresh, chilled, crispy w cucumber and onions. Very nice dressing. Pork chop was full of flavor, juicy. Portions are ample for sure. Highly recommend

I enjoyed Cafe La Haye with my 2 adult children. It was our first dinner in Sonoma and certainly did not disappoint. The small, quaint restaurant reminds me of some of my fav places in NYC. We had the butter lettuce salad, which was good, but not amazing. The beef carpaccio was the star of the appetizer course. Paper thin slices of beef along with greens, topped with 2 fried oysters were delightful. I ate the hanger steak as a main course. It was cooked to perfection! We had a lovely server and the food was great, so I highly recommend Cafe La Haye!

We recently moved to Sonoma, and we experienced Cafe La Haye for the first-time last night. Loved the atmosphere of the Cafe La Haye. The menu and wine lists are terrific. We shared a starter, had great salads, and the entrees were delicious. Our server was awesome, and we look forward to our return visit (and they offer bar seating, which we enjoy also). It's a tough reservation, for all the right reasons. Book in advance and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely dinner! The entire staff was warm and attentive. Every dish was prepared beautifully with fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and amazing presentation. A must visit for foodies!

Great place, excellent food, good service and the host was above and beyond, helped my wife getting her meat cut as she has essential tremor, very sweet effort on his part.

It did not discipline. It was delicious and unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we sat down service was impeccable and the food from the appetizers to the dinner to the dessert. The coffee was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. We started with their fresh sourdough bread with cultured butter, then we had the short rib puffed Pastry and butter leaf salad with aged red wine vinaigrette with feta avocado, onions, and tomato and dinner was chicken and petrale sole. We ended it with the cheesecake and butterscotch pudding and coffee. Delish!

Cafe la Haye also has such great food and nightly specials. Don't miss their chocolate silk cake for desert. It's a must have. Great selection of wine also.

Exceeded our expectations. The Hanger Steak was delicious and the chocolate cake amazing! Loved the small size and intimacy of the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

From greeting to food and service including desserts a wonderful experience. Braised oxtail in pastry, brined chicken breast, and pork chop were very flavorful and well balanced. Our best meal in Sonoma this trip.

Food was excellent and the service was among the best I have ever experienced. We were seated off in a corner and the host offered to move us to a much nicer table as soon as it cleared. He later did so with no prompting from us. Amazing attention to detail and an excellent value too. Can’t recommend more highly.

We had such a great meal, and the service was top notch. Very friendly and very timely for everything. So many gluten free options from apps to desserts, which can be hard to find. We would go back again.

The Maitre De greeted us warmly. Lovely, small setting. Food was all really good. We could see the kitchen and everyone worked efficiently and food was delicious. Would highly recommend. Menu was a nice variety and very approachable for people who want to be able to know what they are going to eat. It was great

Cute looking, small, enjoyable restaurant. We had: Scallops in puff pastry appetizers --delicious (we ordered 2, so we didn't have to share) Vegetarian Risotto (with the option of added shrimp) -- very good Grilled marinated filet mignon with beurre Montpelier, demi glace, asparagus, roasted garlic-chipotle hominy purée -- very good and quite unique Desserts: Almond cake with salted caramel ice cream -- good Chocolate "cake" of some sort -- super rich & silky, very good Service was great, decor was cute (you can go casual or dress up a bit),
