This was our first time visiting Cafe Josephine. It was GREAT. Will definitely be back. All staff were professional, drinks were awesome, food was delicious. Our waitress Macy was the BEST. Will surly ask for her the next time we visit.

LOVE this restaurant. Our table was ready right on time, hostess was friendly our Server.. Sage was the absolute BEST !! her personality is amazing we had fun ordering drinks, Sage gave us time to visit a bit, we enjoyed out appetizer and our meal. The food is first class !! about our 4th visit and everything is top notch Manager walked over , so good such a nice treat to visit Cafe Jospehine's we will be back

As usual, everything was wonderful! The sea bass is my favorite! We had seafood platter, filets, and sea bass with crab meat rice pilaf! Delicious and great presentation! Oh, and homemade turtle cheesecake! Fabulous!

Great drinks, service by Madison was attentive. Loved the smothered green beans My husband and I split the 14oz Rib Eye that was cooked to perfection (sorry here comes the negative) BUT we couldn’t eat a at least a quarter of it because of grizzle! Sooooo disappointed! Our friends split the filet and were happy with it.

Food is Excellent My Steak didn’t come out exactly like I wanted but it’s one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Crab & corn Bisque was Fantastic

The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Always enjoy my lunches there. The charbroiled oysters are a must!! I also love the zydeco shrimp tacos, the crabmeat stuffed eggrolls, the crab & corn bisque, and the seafood pasta.

We live right by the restaurant on bayou who’s name I won’t mention in Washington and we drive to cafe Josephine to eat on regular basis

Food was not cooked to order. Not hot. Grilled fish was so thin there was no meat. Fish was dry no kind of topping on the fish. And seasonal vegetables was green beans. Fried seafood platter was ok batter was too thick. For what we paid we won’t be back. 🤷‍♀️

Our waitress was great and tried really hard to fix the fact that they overcooked my filet twice. After hearing great reviews we were excited to visit but it just was not what we were expecting for the price we paid.

I ordered chicken and sausage gumbo that was great! However my side dish of “Sautéed Spinach” was so hot and doused with Red Pepper, it choked me. I drank two huge glasses of water and still couldn’t get rid of the red pepper lodged in my throat!

I don’t understand the hype, our food wasn’t well-seasoned, our booth was dirty, and the place was only half full but it was as loud as a packed Chili’s or something similar. We chose Cafe Josephine based off of all the “Best Restaurants in Lafayette” lists, but I wouldn’t go back.

The food here is incredible - definitely the place to go for steaks and charbroiled oysters. The service is very good as well. A little out of the way but worth the drive.

Food and service were excellent.Waitress was very attentive and very personable. Overall dining experience was great .Only minor issue was room temp was a little chilly but that was cured with some very good mixed drinks . Would Highly recommend!!

We always have a lovely experience at Josephines. This was our first time dining near the bar. Our little ones loved everytime the fire was kindled and exploded for them. They are still talking about it a couple days later. Our steak was perfect and the Arnald Palmers were even a yummy hit for our children. They have wonderful selections for wines. From first bites to final check, everything is fantastic. This is our go to restaurant for most family events, though we do not see very many children here. We drive over two hours and never mind the trip. Conversation with Chef Troy is always a pleasure and the wait staff is a blessing to the meal. We always recommend dining here to friends and family and look forward to visiting soon.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately, even though it was a busy Saturday night. The drinks and food were delicious. We had the cheesy corn & crawfish dip, lump crabmeat salad, duck tacos, and corn & crab bisque. My guests requested that we make a return visit the next time they are in town. Hopefully, I'll be back before then.
