They have some food prep issues. The meat special was gristly the. Seabass was overcooked and another meal. The pork blackened was very dry. Very disappointed in all of the meals. The seafood hors d’oeuvres that was new was not very good and the tiramisu was not the best I’ve ever had. Was hoping for a new place. I recommend getting pasta or a steak if you go there .The ambience is lovely and the service is outstanding

The calamari is (rightly) amazing. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance cozy enough. My friends loved their dishes - the special of the day “blackened scallops” and the on the menu “seafood pasta”. My bolognese with meatballs was very sub par. Dried sauce and boring meatballs. I barely ate it and when the check came I suggested that the pasta was dry and the waitress actually said “they were focusing on the meat, which makes it bolognese. Do you want some marinara sauce?” Sorry. A. Since I had an uneaten plate they should have taken it off the check. B. That’s not an appropriate answer to a customer complaint. It’s as if I didn’t know what bolognese sauce is. I do. And I’ve had amazing bolognese dishes. It made me not want to go back. I actually threw away the entire leftovers. Marinara sauce was not going to make it better.

Our server was either very busy or very preoccupied, we had to ask twice for bread, which finally came with our food, and then twice for a sharp knife. My food just ok, was just warm! . Not sure we’ll be back!

The food to the service was impeccable. Went there for Valentine’s Day and was blown away by the experience which we had. Would recommend everything because the quality of the food was curated so well.

The food was definitely sub par. We eat here multiple times a year and this was a poor experience. Sicilian encrusted filet cooked too much and the crust was bland. Alfredo bland and not enough in the dish. NY strip and chicken both tough. They were kind enough to give us a discount off but it does make me rethink coming again anytime soon.

One of the best all around experiences we’ve had. The calamari was excellent, the special focaccia bread was excellent, the tortellini was magnificent as was my wife’s enjoyment of her salmon and risotto. The service and ambience was terrific. The only nit I would have was their clever upselling of the focaccia bread without ever saying it was an up charge when recommending it. Just be open and honest! My wife, as a previous server, explained to me some of the trick words used to justify the upselling should they ever be challenged. Not a nice habit. But wonderful otherwise!

Very nice place to go with family. The people who work there are very helpful and very good at taking care of your needs. The food was wonderful. Large selection for everyone's tastes. The cost is well in line for this type of dinning. The over all omilance made for a very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I have been coming to Cafe Calamari for many years and were very happy to experience another fantastic meal last Saturday. We arrived at our reservation time and our table was ready. We both ordered the specials of the night, Crab stuffed salmon and 16oz bone in Veal Chop. Both were delicious and something to remember. Our cocktails were well made and the lemon gelato was a perfect desert. The service was top notch for as busy as it was. We really like this restaurant and will always recommend it to anyone who inquires.

Ordered the calamari appetizer as we usually do, and found the serving size a disappointment. In the past the serving was perfect, but this time it was a skimpy portion for $16. The house salad and entrees were as good as always, but when we ordered the chocolate gelato for my granddaughter, it was frozen solid! There was a lot of scrapping and stabbing to try and get edible pieces. After some time it gradually softened, but this is unacceptable. One shouldn’t have to fight with their gelato! We did mention it to our lovely server, but her only comment was “they must have just taken it out of the freezer. 🤦‍♀️
