Escape to the coastal and tropical flavors of Cafe Blue. Our Oyster Bar features a variety of freshly shucked Oysters on the Half Shell, as well as Snow Crab Claws, Shrimp Cocktail, and two kinds of Ceviche. Popular seafood selections include Cedar Plank Salmon, Crab Stuffed Flounder and Kick Ass Sea Bass. Our steaks are dry-aged in-house for 14 days, and all desserts are scratch-made. To complement our menu, we feature an extensive, award-winning wine list, with over 30 varieties available by the glass. Our bar offers a number of Caribbean-inspired cocktails such as the Painkiller and the Dark & Stormy, as well as popular martinis and fresh lime juice margaritas.

The Tortola Room is an intimate dining room that seats up to 30 diners comfortably and our St. John Room seats 60 diners at max capacity. Our Main Dining Room accommodates 80 diners and can be privatized be a floor to ceiling curtain. The Lounge stands 80 guests + appetizer buffet.

We were sat promptly but the food took over an hour and was cold when it arrived at our table. I have been here many times and this experience was not pleasant and we will not be back.

Not an ideal experience at all for Mother’s Day Brunch. Food was a buffet, staff was rarely attentive, and nothing to note the occasion for Mother’s.

My wife, 11 month old son and I had an amazing time! She had the crab cakes, my son had grilled chicken and fruit, and I had the lobster roll!

Did not eat even though we had a reservation. I was attending a conference at the convention center. Saturday afternoon and we we told there were a total of 4 employees working, one of which was the hostess. Never got checked in or seated. Please staff accordingly. A lot of business lost.

Upon entering the restaurant we waited in line for the hostess to run around during everything around the restaurant to be seated for our reservation. We sat for our reservation 15-20 minutes late. Once seated we were brought water by the hostess and sat an additional 45 minutes before someone greeted our group. We then to try to immediately order our food because the restaurant seemed to be in disarray. We continued to wait an additional hour and fifteen minutes for our appetizers to come out mediocre at best as it seemed it sat for an extended amount of town. While we waited on our food we asked our waiter to bring us a drink menu that came 45 minutes later. We tried to order drinks but by the time we got our food and ate the drinks were still no where to be found. We finally caught our waiter and we were told the bar had a long line of drinks in front of ours. Another party in our group got up to walk to the bar themselves to check and see and the bar stated the drinks were never put in as they were not backed up. This was clear because other tables who came in without reservations after us had eaten, received drinks, paid and were gone while we were still just trying to receive everything we ordered. Once the rest of the parties main entrees finally came. One party noticed a hair across her salad dressing and salad. We notified the water and he seemed flustered by this. We watch him walk it to the kitchen sit on the line and they switch the dressing and bring the same salad back to the table. We then instructed them to please replace the entire dish as the hair was across the food as well. The waiter seemed irritated by this proceeded to walk away as we watched him approach the manager who seemed even more annoyed by flailing his hands around when the waiter was explaining what was going on and threw his hands up to have it redone. At this point two of the five missing drinks show up from the bar because they were not busy. It took 30 more to pay and leave.

We love Cafe Blue. The menu is amazing and we love the oysters! Very few people were in the restaurant when we brunched Sunday morning. We had oysters, the lobster asparagus omelet which amazing and the cuban benedict, also very good. Would highly recommend!

The restaurant was pretty much empty, but we still got great service front Lee. The Maine Lobster Roll, the Almond Salmon, and the Crab Stuffed Shrimp were great!

Despite the fact we had a reservation, we were set 20 minutes late. When we finally got our table, we were set at a table in the corner in the bar section. There was absolutely zero light to read the menus. We had to use the light from our cell phones. my wife ordered the oysters as an appetizer. They tasted so bad., we paid the check left and went to Flemings next-door and had an awesome meal.

The food was amazing! The drinks were good but a bit over priced. The service definitely left room for improvement! We sat at the bar and it took 20 minutes to take our drink order. Then another 30 minutes after we ordered apps, they came by to tell us they were out of mussels and do we want something else. We had been there for about an hour and 15 minutes when we received our apps then immediately our meal which we had to inhale to make our show time. The bartender never returned to ask if we wanted another round of drinks in all that time. I definitely recommend the food and perhaps it was bad luck and they had a lot of call ins from staff but that was my experience.

The oysters were great and the food in general was very good. Farrhad was outstanding and very helpful throughout the night. The general atmosphere would have been more cohesive and coherent with the intention to provide excellent food and service without the visual cacophony of the big screens on the bar.

My daughter wanted her birthday brunch here and the service, atmosphere and food where amazing. I couldn't be more pleased.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! For the price, the food quality is really bad. Was looking forward to going to Cafe Blue, but was very disappointed with the meat. Ordered the NY strip and it was like chewing rubber. The kitchen made me another strip, but unfortunately it was very chewing as well. Knowing that it wasn't the way they were cooking it, but rather the meat quality, I asked if it could just be removed from my bill. The waiter insisted that it was just the NY strip that is possibly tougher and that he ensures that the ribeye would be tender. They packaged me a ribeye to go, with sides and I regret to say that it was just as tough to chew. For almost $50 per plate, I would expect a higher quality of meat. Also, the potatoes were hard and the to-go box was soo cheap that the box was soggy by the time we got home. Also paid $112 for 4 old fashions!!!

Our party of 8 enjoyed our evening. The food was excellent. The coconut shrimp was delicious and the apricot sauce perfect. My husband had a delicious steak and raved about the mashed potatoes. The chocolate cake topped off a birthday meal and was yummy.

Our waiter was also the bartender, therefore service was very slow!!! He was very nice but for NYE they were poorly staffed!! We ended up leaving

Decent food, but over priced. Especially appetizers drinks. Ordered a seafood samplwr as an appetizer. Had 4 oysters, 6 shrimp and small bowl of ceviche. Price was “market”. I should asked ahead of time, but when I got the check it cost $85. Obviously geared towards gouging the business travelers attending conferences at the convention center across the street.

Went to Cafe Blue for Christmas Eve. It was pretty quiet, but the service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. Excellent price point for downtown location.

Great portions, Delicious food. The kids serving of fish and chips was abundant which was enjoyed by my 11 year old. The mussels in spicy thai sauce was so good. Got that with a cup of gumbo which was enough for a meal. The crab avocado sandwich was enjoyed by my son. The shrimp poboy was also good although my boyfriend forgot to ask to not put the slaw on it. Otherwise everything was great

Four different entrees and everyone loved each one. Also did key lime pie and chocolate volcano cake. Excellent food. Prices a little high but expected in Auston.

I will say the food was good. I wasn't used to it being so empty on a Friday night. I have been here throughout the years and the ambiance has always been nice. I do not think I have been post Pandemic and this may be the reason. I surely hope that business pick up. I would hate to see this restaurant go out.

More on the casual side but with good ambiance. I was happy to eat here since alot of seafood restaurants downtown seemed on the upscale side, with somewhat outrageous prices. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly! Our waitress was great as well! I had zero complaints, pricing was reasonable. My husband had the rib-eye that came with a cream spinach that was so good, and I had the ahi tuna steak (rare) which was also very good. Would definitely come again
