At Cafe Amaro we specialize in making Italian brick-oven pizza in Boston's North End. Be seated outdoors, or in our intimate, relaxed indoor dining room, with tall open windows facing Hanover St. Start off with select cocktails, beer, or fine wine. We were visiting Boston and wanted a cute romantic spot for some great pasta and we’re not disappointed. It’s was quaint and music wasn’t too loud so you could have a nice conversation. The broccoli rabe pizza and gnocchi were to die for. The texture of the gnocchi was perfection. 10/10

Menu needs to be updated so that there is no confusion about what is ordered. Butternut squash ravioli came out with a red sauce instead of a brown butter sauce and was informed the brown butter sauce is no longer on the menu but can still be optioned for.

Small place but super cozy and delicious! Great attention from the wait staff! Everything on the menu looks great, we had the bolognese and the margherita pizza.

They opened up twice as many reservations as were available tables on Valentine’s Day. They suck

Really cute and quaint spot. Good service despite there being only 1 waiter who also serves as the host! I enjoyed the fusilli ala vodka made with homemade pasta and my husband had the chicken parm which also came w/ homemade pasta. Always a plus as I know many north end restaurants serve boxed, despite how good they may be. Prices were reasonable and 2 drinks and 2 entrees came in under $100 which I call a success in this city!

Very small but cozy inside. Service was friendly & prompt. Our server was a doll. Five of us had calamari (cooked perfectly), Caesar salad (so fresh), fig & prosciutto pizza (really good crust), & chicken Marsala (also cooked perfectly & the fusili was so fresh), + wine or Aperol spritz to drink. Then we finished with a sampler of 4 amaros (Italian digestive aperitif). We also ordered a pizza to go all for just under $200, which we thought was a great value. I’d definitely go back, but make a res as it is tight quarters!

Pizza was good, went with pepperoni and prosciutto. It was a nice thin crust. The chicken parm and marsala both got thumbs up from the other two diners.
