Situated just a short walk from the Scarsdale Metro-North Station, Café Alaia, a Michelin award winner 2020 thanks to its cozy décor, soaring ceilings and welcoming owner (Vincenzo Alaia), the dining room is all buzz. Thoughtfully arranged tables, framed by rustic wooden chairs, typically bear elevated versions of regional Italian dishes. Pastas are a highlight and fittingly so, like tender spinach- and ricotta-filled ravioli bathed in a melted sage-infused butter. Squid stuffed with crab, spinach and breadcrumbs is augmented by perfectly poached cherry tomatoes, not unlike the fresh figs set atop a crostata di pere. A bar in the middle is ideal for solo or couple diners who want to linger.

Our brand new space has plenty of room to accommodate social distancing. We have installed the highest rated air purification system with state of the art UV technology combined with MERV 13 Filtration.

Breath of fresh air. A restaurant that pays mind to the art of service from the moment you enter. Our waiter, Gio, was cordial and welcoming. His timing was impeccable and it was so pleasant to experience how well the wait staff worked together. Food was delicious, creative and cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Alaia's. And we highly recommend this establishment. Magnifico!

Great ambience and environment. Great for a night out, fancier service than wood and fire or via forno. Little bit expensive, spent 140 for three people, if you have the money, its great.

AS I have written before this is my family's favorite place to go. We love everything about it --the ambience, the food, the service, the neighborhood. We all loved what we had last night --I had the crisp hen with vegetables and a beautiful special salad of the day which I shared with my husband. He had a pasta dish that was excellent and our granddaughters had a variety of things all wonderful--the mussels are outstanding as well---service is impeccable--My hen was crisp and moist---my daughters special seafood dish was delicious--The room is so attractive and peaceful even when it is busy and energetic--we adore this place and it is our go to restaurant when we want something special and yummy. I usually have a vodka and lime on ice drink and it is always perfect--the waiter makes sure I get exactly what I want. Very special service . Saundra Friedman

Bothers me when. .. coffee is brought before you finish your wine, and you are given the check when you don't ask for it. On a Wednesday night when there are empty tables. 2 people spending $280 should not be rushed. The food was delicious.

Cafe Alai never disappoints. The service is always exceptional and food is outstanding. We always go for the specials and haven’t been disappointed. Highly recommend lasagna and halibut wrapped in thinly sliced potato with the side of broccoli rabe dishes.
