Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

We went for a date night for my birthday and we were treated like celebrities from the moment we arrived. Paul welcomed us and gave us a view of the day’s fresh fish and then gave us his recommendations. He checked on us throughout the meal. Our server, Isis, greeted us with a warm smile, guided us through her favorites on the menu and made sure that we had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. Our favorites were the grilled oysters and the C&S cups. Thanks for making it such a special night! We will definitely be back!

C and S seafood has amazing ambiance and superb staff. All I can say is chargrilled oyster 10 out of 10 out of 10 these things are the best in the city. No competition. If you haven’t been it’s a great experience be willing to open your wallet though.

Everything exceeded expectations. Desmond was a wonderful server. People were very sweet and welcoming from hostess, manager, server etc. the food really good. The only thing that was sub par was colossal crab cocktail we had for appetizer. For entree we had the branzino and sea bass broiled a la carte with sides of lemon garlic spinach and truffle fries. LOVED it all!

A1 Review! Parking is valet so no worries there! $3 at that so top tier! Easy to find location and cute. Greeted at the front by 2 host that were superb young Caucasian guy and young brown skin girl so sweet. Patricia was my waitress and a delight! Absolutely one of the best I've ever had! Started with cranberry bread and another one that were yummy! Whipped butter whipped just right! 10/10 chargrilled happy hour oysters! Came piping hot, flavorful and the hot sauce was one I never heard of. I'm particular but I loved it! 8/10 risotto lobster rice it lacked a little flavor but a good decent and full of lobster. Blueberry refresher was refreshing! Sitting on the patio was a win! I absolutely love this place and will return!

The food was terrific...compliments to the chef! The staff was very accommodating as to where we sat. Our server, Theo was terrific. The only thing I would say is that the prices were high and the portions could be a little bigger. It was our first time at the C&S Seafood in Brookhaven and the experience was a 95+.

Went to dinner here for the first time last evening. Excellent experience both with service, from the host to our server, Desmond, and the great food. We sat in the atrium, that is lovely and not too loud even when it is full. Only one annoyance were the wait staff who kept trying to take away our unfinished plates. The scallops we both had melted in our mouths—so glad they were available!

We chose to dine at C & S for my husbands birthday and I must say we chose right! The whole evening was perfect with really good food and excellent service. Madison was our server and I must say she is one of the best servers we have ever had. She knew the menu inside and out and really helped guide our menu choices. It was also the best rendition of Happy Birthday that I've ever heard! We had oysters and shrimp egg rolls for appetizers, blackened sea bass oscar style for our entree and delicious bread pudding with ice cream for dessert. Everything from start to finish was perfection. We will be back!

My sister and I had lunch at C&S Seafood&Oyster Bar yesterday to celebrate her birthday. It was my third time to go there for lunch, and once again, all was absolutely fabulous!! Madisyn gave us excellent service with her friendliness, recommendations, and attentiveness-- she made sure we had a very special dining experience! Our meal choices, grilled salmon and Panko crusted flounder, were cooked perfectly--amazing--and the key lime pie for dessert was delicious! We will definitely be returning soon!

This was our first time dining at the Brookhaven location. Icis was our sever and she was attentive, helpful with the menu choices and very friendly. Crabcakes and calamari were delicious. Bone in ribeye was cooked nicely. We also ordered the grouper and salmon entrees which were very flavorful. The market style branzino was good but had some random small bones. Overall, good experience and will return.

We had brunch this past Sunday on the patio. Them service was great and our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendation of the French toast was spot on and the Char Grilled Oyster made me feel like I was on the Outer Banks. I look Forward to our return.

Tommy was our server and he made our experience one of the best I have had in Atlanta. Hands down the best seafood in Atlanta, sorry Atlanta Seafood Market. I will definitely be back for I am a seafood lover and it's hard to find that inland. To the GM, keep running a restaurant where the staff enjoys working there and it is reflected in the total experience. Can we get two things, valet to leave handicap spaces empty and instahots in the restroom to wash my hands.

This evening, my companions and I enjoyed an exceptional experience at C&S Seafood. From the ambiance to the culinary offerings, and notably the attentive service provided by our server, Rachel, our visit was truly memorable. Rachel's courteous and attentive demeanor ensured that we were well looked after throughout our time there. Such exemplary treatment after a lengthy day is greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit, particularly to experience Rachel's outstanding service. A perfect score of 10/10!

Such a cute spot! I’m glad I was able to make it out. The food didn’t disappoint and the hospitality and service were top notch. Rachel took amazing care of us & truly gave us a lovely experience!

Will try the restaurant again, but our first impression was lacking. We were a party of four and celebrating our adult daughter’s birthday—a special one. On the good side, the restaurant is attractive, especially the patio where we were seated. Very pleasant and relaxing. The attitude of the staff, from front door to table, was welcoming. Cocktails were good. On the bad side, there were two things that really frustrated us: 1) Although seated at 6:45, they no longer had two of the fish on the menu—and then—informed us they ran out of a third fish (grouper) after we had ordered. 2. Super disappointed as they totally flubbed the birthday. Was noted in the reservation. When I called earlier in the day to adjust the reservation time, THEY mentioned the birthday. When we arrived at the front door THEY also mentioned the birthday. When we’re seated at our table THEY mentioned and confirmed that we were celebrating a birthday. At the end of the meal we ordered two desserts and they came with nothing….no candle, etc. When I caught the waiter’s eye and quietly mentioned the birthday, he said “you get a free dessert” and scurried away. (Subsequently, I had to send the check back and get the dessert charge removed from the bill). Not make a mountain out of molehill, but it was a special dinner, they were so seemingly diligent about our reservation, and then nothing…. When the moment came. Will try it one more time.
