Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

The ambience is very nice in the C&S in Brookhaven. However, the food and service were less than expected. Our waiter never asked us for our drink order. We had to chase him down after he had taken our appetizer order to ask to order drinks. Another server came and refilled 2 of our water glasses, and then left 3 others empty. We had to chase someone else down for water. It wasn't all that busy in there. Our appetizers were good. For entrees, my mom ordered the Branzino and said it was very good. My husband has the ribeye steak, and it was cooked perfect, but was under-seasoned. I ordered the red snapper and it was so tough, I couldn't even get my knife through it (it's fish!). I was unable to eat it, so we mentioned it our server. The chef did come out and apologize and said that I was not the first person to have an issue with that fish today. He offered to cook me another one to take home (not sure why that would be any better). He also said that it thought it was an issue with that specific type of snapper he got, and that he would be getting his money back from his distributor. But, they never took the fish, I was unable to eat, off our bill. I was very unimpressed with our experience, and we will not be going back.

Sat outside in the atrium. Beautiful evening. Once a loud family left the noise level dropped significantly. The windows bounce the noise level a bit. Tommy was extremely attentive. Food was amazing especially my grouper topped with a crab cake. Excellent experience and now one of our go to's

Service was excellent, food was good though I was hoping for a bit more shrimp with the waffles. It also took quite a while for our food even though it was not busy. They did bring out a dessert for my hubby birthday which was very nice. Overall really enjoyed it and will visit again.

Way better than Atlanta Fish Market and that’s for sure! Our server Kel was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended the crab special & it was exactly as described. The drinks were strong, which was a pleasant surprise. They also had a unique selection of Prince Edward Island oysters that I REALLY enjoyed! This restaurant really nailed it! 🎯🦀

Our server was great, the restaurant interior was nice and I like the location. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The raw oysters were excellent but the second order of cooked oysters were not as good as the first order. We ordered octopus and it was very overcooked and the seafood gumbo was pretty much broth with some sausage. The second glass of wine I ordered was poured very short and I sent it back. We had a good overall experience and with the exception of the few things I mentioned the other food items we ordered were very good.

Recently just started coming to the Brookhaven location and got to say it’s my favorite. Amazing service, delicious food (especially the chargrilled oysters), and overall fantastic ambience. Food is masterfully prepared by Zan and always take the time to check in on the me and other customers to ensure quality.

We took our grandparents while they were in town and had Tommy as our server. He was absolutely phenomenal! Suggested most of what we ordered and everything was amazing! He was so kind and didn’t miss a beat. I would definitely come again and would certainly recommend!

The food was amazing. Come during happy hour. We got the branzino, chargrilled oysters, and drinks. Cheesecake for dessert. Ask for Tommy. He knew the whole menu and knew exactly what to recommend. 10 out of 10. Everything was great!

Always have a GREAT meal and service (this time Theodore) and always greeted by Manager Gage (and I think Jamie?) as well. Chef came by and pitched his Mahi special which was SPECIAL indeed! Really great flavors hit all the right notes... A beach vacation on a plate! Peach cheesecake was The bomb! Oyster happy hour special is reason enough to give C&S a try. This is our go-to place for fresh seafood and there's no room for improvement... This place hums!
