Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

    I love the convenience and the food, but the last 2 times I have eaten there has taken me over an hour to get my food. The staff is super friendly and I enjoy the atmosphere, it's just the length of time to get my food makes me re-think visiting.

    We loved everything with the exception of th spring rolls. But the oysters, sea bass, flounder all were amazing! The service was great and prompt and we will absolutely be back.

    Our first time here...and we will return. Not the best seating. As a seasoned couple, we did not enjoy being seated with 4 infants at three of the closest tables....all crying, of course. We were there first. At the 4th table sat a young couple who were already seated, but argued throughout their meal....and it was not discreet. The service was great...food outstanding, martini for him...mojito for me...both very well done. We will request better seating next time.

    Our experience at C & S Seafood & Oyster Bar in Brookhaven was exceptional. Service was impeccable, food was fresh and delicious the restaurant is beautiful. We made reservations to sit in the atrium. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the atrium was not working and it was 80+ degrees. Even though the staff knew it was hot in that area, the hostess still tried to sit us there. They were happy to move us upon our request, but I feel they should have known. I overheard another couple requesting to be moved because it was too hot to sit in the atrium. If they can get the air fixed, the atrium is a beautiful place to sit. I would call the restaurant prior to reserving that section to confirm if the air conditioner is working or not in that area. But overall, the restaurant is 5 star. We will definitely return.

    This was my first visit and let’s just say..it did not disappoint!! The ambience was great, the food was outstanding and the staff was IMPECCABLE!! The best experience that makes me want to visit again!! Kuddos to C&S Seafood!!

    Excellent attention, service and great food. I was relieved to see that the door greeter turned away 2 customers that insisted to be seated while half naked! He and the manager stood their ground despite the costumer’s persistence. Which brings to mind the curious sign about “code of conduct” at the restaurant’s entry way. Does that mean the behavior and type of customers like the ones that night is a recurring problem. I hope not as that might spell trouble to the establishment.

    Our server Madisyn made the birthday boy's experience amazing while being attentive and always presented with a warm smile.. Ambiance, elegance, and service was impeccable. The furnishings were beautiful and the whole vibe was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Salut!

    Our dinner was delicious. We both had the branzino with spinach and mushrooms. It was wonderful. Our waiter was excellent as well

    The food and service were great, and our server, Theo, was AMAZING! My only recommendation is regarding the reservation text notification. My reservation was for 5:45 pm, and I received a text at 4:09 pm indicating my table was ready and that I should REPLY 1 if I were on my way. I chose not to reply as it made no sense to reply that I was on my way an hour and a half ahead of my reservation, so I called the restaurant. I was told by the person who answered that she likes to send those texts to confirm my reservation and that there should be an indicator to reply. I explained that the only reply option is to indicate that you are on your way. I told her that I would be there for my reservation, but to reply that I was on the way would be an inaccurate response. I have received that same text from other restaurants in the past, but I typically get those within 15-20 minutes of my reservation versus an hour and a half before.

    Everything was delicious. Honestly, haven’t had a meal that was this phenomenal from start to finish in a long time. Jarvis was our waiter and he was attentive and gave great recommendations! Will definitely be back.
