Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

    We had a waitress who was very nice but I feel like there was consistent misunderstandings/slow service. I do not know if it was a language barrier. I ordered egg rolls, got calamari. I asked for a remaining dish to be packaged to go. The coffee came after the desserts were already eaten. It was a business lunch that lasted two hours but we were finished essentially in an hour. It became very frustrating. I prefer the Vinings location & service. I did appreciate the noise level was lower and the host gentleman was quick to act when we stood up looking for help.

    Food and service were great. Definitely go with the chargrilled oysters (a generous portion that 4 can easily share as an appetizer) and the grilled branzino entree, which comes with two appetizers. The ambiance is better on the porch but the seating is a bit cramped.

    My hubby and I have compromised vision but inside was way too dark. We could barely see our food. Regardless, Food Service Ambience all good but very pricey.

    Man oh man! Those were the HIGHEST QUALITY oysters 🦪 I ever had in Atlanta, hands down! Our server Patricia did a phenomenal job explaining the nuances of each oyster we selected. She was very polite & friendly! The manager came by to check on us, which was very welcoming & the whole entire staff seemed to work well together too. I almost do not want to share this gem with others, but I have to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5stars

    C&S in Brookhaven is intimate and favors a NYC atmosphere. Great bar, good service, and food was great. We loved the whole experience for our first visit.

    Our Server Tony was awesome! Very attentive and knowledgeable about food. But our experience wasn’t the best like it has been in the past. First, to have paper napkins and no dinner napkins was a bit tacky. I know that restaurant run out of things…I’m a Food truck owner..so I get it, but there is a Kroger and Walmart and Target up the street that could have solved that problem. Second, the food was not as tasty or it tasted rushed and not the fine dining that I’m accustomed to when I dine at C&S Seafood…so to spend what we spent was a little disappointing. Finally, you could tell something was wrong and that we were not the only customers with issues. We constantly saw the manger’s frequent several tables all night because I guess the other customers were having problems with the food. Which did not look good from our viewpoint. That’s just my take on my experience. I’m 50/50 on returning!

    A horrible experience on Mother’s Day as half of the menu was unavailable at 7 PM after waiting an additional half hour for our reserved table confused by how a restaurant is without napkins and the basic essentials. My hopes would be to never go out and have to start with. We are out of shrimp, Seabass and red snapper.

    Our wait staff Desmond was impeccable!! Unfortunately everything else fell off. We had to wait an inordinate length of time for our food as well as everyone around us. We were told that from the manager that it is always mobbed for Mothers Day. That they had over 700 reservations for the day. What a blessing for a restaurant to be be able to say that post Covid. My issue was that if you knew this why were you not more prepared? It would be obvious that an astute manager would be able to plan for it. Perhaps moving forward you may need to turn away patrons if you are unable to maintain a dining experience that is worthy of your usual and customary service level.

    I LOVE it here! First time I went, the Manager Paul and bartender Mo were super accommodating. This time we went for Mother's Day with a group of longtime girlfriends and it was nothing short of amazing! Paul, Mo and the host were fantastic is securing us a table out on the atrium. The food was simply delicious and fresh. This is a MUST if you are a seafood lover - just a food lover in general! Thank you for continued 5-star service!
