Ordered scallops and ribeye. Scallops were great but only 3 scallops which is not enough for a meal. The steak was a huge disappointment. Asked for a medium. First time was well done and second time was rare after we sent it back.The cut itself was also not what you would expect for a good quality ribeye. Ended up going to a different restaurant to finish our dinner.

This was my first time having dinner at By George. The atmosphere is awesome, the food was great and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend dining at By George if you're in Atlanta.

Service was excellent. Rigatoni bolognese was a joke. Reminded me of spaghetti from steak and shake…expected way better from a place like this. I will come back because I know they do other food well.

Loved the food, the service and the room itself was spectacular. Eye-wateringly expensive for lunch. But hey, you only live once.

This was such a disappointment. We were visiting from the Indianapolis area and expected a great meal in downtown Atlanta with all the good reviews for By George. The sole and spinach were so salty I couldn’t eat them. My husband’s ‘filet’ seemed to have been a marinated lesser cut of meat. The carrots were pretty but cooked to mush. The server, Jenny, was outstanding. The decor and vibe were very “hotel restaurant”.

When we were still in the office, By George opened and I was excited as it is across the street. Time passed with Covid and I was happy to go back with 3 of our former fellows. Greeted quickly and pleasantly. Seated while waiting for my guests to arrive which can be unusual these days. Two had the 'Chef's BLT' which included a fried egg. It was massive, and, i was told, delicious. I have the burger as I seldom eat meat at home and it was cooked exactly as requested. The last one was the Cobb Salad which was very good. With a couple of beers and the food, the bill was not out of the norm. Stop by if you are downtown for a great meal.

We ate at By George for our anniversary which fell on Memorial Day. We were running late for our reservation and I called receiving a voice message and left a message and questioning whether they were open. I called back and received the voice message. I have never contacted a restaurant during working hours and received a message instead of a live person answering the phone. I did not receive a call back. Entering the restaurant we noticed a sparse amount of diners and went to the hostess station. I had specified sitting at one of the white round tables with green chairs and couch seating on my Open Table reservation. Jonathan brought us to a small table resting against one of the decorative columns which was in front of a door. When I asked "Why this table? Jonathan stated "I thought it would be a good one" I asked to be seated at the round table which I had specified and we were seated. When I have specified a table on the Open Table reservation we have always been seated at what we requested. A lovely server, Shavon came to our table and poured waters and asked about beverages. When Shavon left a male server came to our table saying he is supposed to be our server and pointed to the table Jonathan wanted to sit us at. I told him Shavon was helping us. We ordered beverages which were delectable. I ordered the sole and my husband ordered the salmon as well as a side of asparagus. We asked for our food to be steaming hot. Shavon said she would tell the kitchen. When our food came it was not steaming hot and we sent it back and it was reheated. Tasty meal and we were given a red velvet cake for dessert which was delicious. We asked for espresso which was a great compliment to the cake. Shavon was attentive and friendly, always had a smile. The decor was impressive and we were able to park on the street The low rating is based on the manager of the day, Jonathan.
