I've eaten at Buttercup several times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently excellent and the service is first class. It is a wonderful place to meet friends or to have a special dinner with those you love. The only issue I have is the noise level, which can be loud, but considering the amount of diners that they serve, it's likely that it is unavoidable.

We had a 5:30 reservation Would have preferred 6. Restaurant was just about full at 5:30. We had an 8 pm show at Tcan. We were not rushed so timing was fine. Wait staff young. Are they students at cooking school? We are too much. Shared 2 starters. The corn bread was excellent. The buttercup salad very good. My wife, the birthday lady had vegetarian risotto. I had shrimp. Both very good to excellent. Each had a glass of wine We had the bread pudding for dessert. It was much different than my wife makes. Hers is better. This was a bit to condensed. We like it a bit lighter( needs more liquid). I have generally sworn off ordering decalf at a restaurant because I don’t like the pricing for a pretty bad brew. This cup, not mug, was $5.00 but at least it was a good cup of coffee. We were overall very pleased with the dinner. Will go again but only one starter next time. Probably the corn bread again. The crowd was mixed age. We were on the older side. Both 75 but jeanne looks 63 We didnt feel out of place. Dinner and the concert at Tcan made for a very enjoyable evening

Food was not the usual wonderful. Seems like management is stretching the pennies. Corn bread was small one serving, spring risotto and ravioli had same ingredients. A real disappointment.

Perfect food!! Love the setting. It was just a tad bit noisy but I would definitely return. Try the house made potato chips-/ you won’t be disappointed!

Only downside of the experience was the hostess making a point to tell us that we were late for our reservation (we were within 15 minutes) and that our table had another reservation within an hour. We did not linger, and there was no one waiting for our table when we left, but we felt rushed and it soured our experience.

Wonderful meal from beginning to end! Prompt friendly service. The halibut and the tiger shrimp risotto were perfectly prepared and seasoned beautifully. Best butterscotch pudding I’ve ever had Can’t wait to come back

Halibut dinner and muscles were excellent! Up charge if you want 2 slices of bread. Old fashioned and last laugh drinks very good.

Good variety of dishes available. Food well prepared and presented, and good. Friendly and attentive service. Nice decoration and setting. Good choice of wines by the glass. The wine list looked interesting also, but pricey and disproportionate to the wine by the glass. We enjoyed the evening

Great restaurant with great food. The fish tacos are the best around. We discovered this place several years ago and keep coming back as their food remains great with just enough variations to try , along with the wonderful and friendly service.

Delicious meals, great service and fun ambiance. We enjoyed our evening out and were not rushed at all. Ordered the mussels appetizer and the halibut dinner- excellent!

Very good menu and wine list. The service is great and all the staff are friendly. I will definitely return when I am in the neighborhood. BTW, reservation is a must because this is a very popular restaurant.

We enjoyed the cocktails, wine, bread and our meals however the dining room was too loud. It was difficult for the 3 of us to have a conversation at our own table. I am confident some type of acoustics could be put on the walls to mitigate the loudness. May try the outside dining when it gets warmer to avoid the loudness in the dining room.

This is one of our favorite spots. Food always great, service is always excellent one of our servers we’ve had before came over to say hello! We’ve never had a bad meal, Oysters (recommended by our server were outstanding. The Halibut is always so fresh and prepared perfectly! Fish tacos were also incredible. Love Buttercup! It was also a birthday celebration so extra special! Drinks are creative and tasty!

Our server, Claire, was very helpful and attentive in spite of a full house. Her recommendation for a remedy for my yard work pain was spot on (the Midnight Hour). Food was perfect, as it has been each time we have been since it opened (several years ago?). Prices are fair for the high quality and exquisite preparation of all of the dishes. A treat.

That pesto is incredible. We would have purchased a pint of it if possible. Fish tacos, steak - all delicious. Service was lovely.

WOW! What an amazing experience. The staff were wonderful and the meal (the halibut) was heavenly. The desserts were decadent. Definitely recommending this place to any and all who want yums food in a beautiful and peaceful environment.

Food was excellent. They were very small portions. We went at a quiet time but tables very close together. Noise level was increasing as diners arrived up to point of feeling intrusiv. Waitstaff was attentive and very nice. Meals were extremely expensive.

In general this restaurant is trying hard to be an excellent place. Unfortunately poor and spotty service detracts from a positive experience. The environment seems, rushed, chaotic and not well executed. It was extremely noisy and the staff was overwhelmed with juggling too many tables with too few staff. The food was good and the presentation was creative, however, pricey for what you got. Bread service for ten dollars was also a surprise for a few slices of average bread (i.e, not artisnal).

We love buttercup. It is on the pricier side, and therefore more of a destination restaurant. there were several birthdays last night. But it’s nice to have such an elegant restaurant in Natick. Service and food are outstanding. We also love the restaurant in Needham called farmhouse.

I love this restaurant. The food is so fresh and so delicious. Expensive, but all restaurants are too expensive right now. Anyway, the cornbread is not to be missed. The prosciutto appetizer is delicious. My husband had the Bolognese and it’s always a hit.

The food at Buttercup is always excellent, and there are options for everyone. My wife and I just had appetizers (she had two; I had three). We also shared a desert. All was quite filling. We each also had a craft cocktail to start. They were excellent. Our server was terrific. And the food was served at just the right time. We had enough tie to start enjoying our cocktails, and our dinner was served just as we were getting ready to eat. Finally, the cost of the dinner was quite reasonable given the quality of the dishes and drinks.
