A Contemporary American farm-to-table Restaurant and Craft Bar. This is Dora Tavel-Sanchez Luz's second venture in the organic, farm fresh American contemporary cuisine. Proud to serve & support local produce, craft beers, and small wine makers. Buttercup is the younger sister of The Farmhouse in Needham and it is sure to bring you the best food/drink experience.                 Our waitress was in my opinion, in the wrong field. She was curt, did t smile and seemed like she didn’t like us or her job. Pasta congee, VERY small Portion. Very little flavor

                The cocktails were amazing. I ordered the Last Laugh. My husband had a baby bee. Our waitress was wonderful and checked in on us just enough that we felt well taken care of but not so much that my husband and I couldn’t have a good chat. The food was delicious. We will definitely return since it’s a great spot we can walk to and their outdoor seating is fun.

                The appetizers and service were excellent as was the beet salad. The poached halibut was superb and made very well Tables are TOO close together Wish we could have sat outside. Would like to be able to bring our small dog to fine outside with us.

                Starters were terrific, as was my wife’s fish tacos. They contained halibut and a lot of it. These were all excellent, but my spaghetti vongole was disappointing. It was very bland, almost watery. White wine and olive oil taste were missing, as was the garlic - though the garlic was there. The wine - we ordered the Sancerre - was fantastic. Anyway, we think this place is great and we’ll be back; I’ll just avoid the spaghetti vongole.

                I have said it all before - one of the great restaurants. No criticism except that the adjoining table was unusually loud. Nothing the restaurant could have done about that.

                Great fresh food. Service was great although we had a couple of issues with the drinks. Haddock described fennel and there was only one small fennel piece on it. A little underwhelming. Summer ravioli was so fresh and tasty.

                Vegetable Risotto was pretty flavorless, and the vegetables were all just steamed and unseasoned. Bourbon Bread Pudding was great at least. Had a nice night, but was pretty underwhelmed by the food and drinks.
