Burntshirt Vineyards presents its new Vintner's Table Restaurant and Tasting Room Wine Bar at our Hendersonville, NC winery and vineyard. Featuring one of Hendersonville’s largest kitchens, the on-site restaurant offers fresh and exciting farm to table style dishes emphasizing local ingredients with a fine dining flare to accompany our award-winning vine-to-bottle wines. We have a beautiful outdoor patio; we are family and pet friendly! We offer wine + dine pairings monthly, wine flights and slushies! We can accommodate parties of all sizes and encourage larger groups to visit us for all your celebrations to come! Really not a place to go for dinner. I thought it would be a place where they would suggest wine pairings and more of an Italian menu. The food was fair and the salads were extremely over priced. I would return for the wine but not to eat.

-Lunch reservations on Mother's Day, placed wine/sandwich order at 1:06pm. Had to go to bartender for help with table. No one at front. -Waited for wine flights. Wrong flights delivered. Manage later returned with what we said we ordered. Never explained the wine, unlike other vineyard experiences. We had to ask someone else for help. -Waiter came over, said food was almost ready. Said they were really stressed, understaffed. Manager frantically walked around outdoor patio flipping her hair and looked completely overwhelmed. -The waiter checked in multiple times. Continued to say food was almost ready. Multiple times. Later said the kitchen was backlogged and their system "glitched" though we consistently saw food being delivered to tables who were seated after us. -We waited almost an hour and a half. Other tables were filing complaints as well. -Continued to be told the sandwiches (a burger and a reuben) were coming. -Waiter arrived and then asked if we would be mad if we didn’t get our burger and sandwich. -Asked to speak with manager, she came over and said she would go to the kitchen, check with waiter -She didn’t come back to the table -Waiter came over and told us we could just walk. Was clearly embarassed. We said we don’t "walk", just wanted lunch we had order almost 90 minutes ago. -Called manager over w/ waiter at table as well, said she couldn’t give us food -Asked why she can't just go to the kitchen and expedite the sandwiches to make a quick order if this was really a missed ticket. She said she couldn't do that. -We asked for bill to be comped or at least a gift card -Manager said she could not do that. Said she "would not charge us for the food." We said, "What food??" -Placed order at 106p, evidenced on ticket, she ran our bill charging us for the wine at 2:26pm. Told her she should be embarassed. -She said she was not embarassed at all. We are contacting GM of Burnshirt. Stay away. Too many other better options. Happy Mother's Day.

Had a reservation for 12:30. Left at 2:45 due to no food or drinks to us. Worst experience ever

Received in welcoming warmth by tasting room pair, but restaurant was closed despite reservation and listed open times on Open Table. This winery does have large restaurant building, but separate tasting room only thing open on a Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Servers apologized with confused acknowledge of misrepresented information on Open Table. After a redirected drive to Japanese restaurant downtown, we returned for an appreciated and tasty wine pour. Servers were excellent.

Great opportunity here but they had issues the day we were there! Absolutely beautiful weather in their pretty outdoor area. They immediately seated us and the man announced he was only two days on job so each general question asked couldn’t be answered. The server was great but there was only one and she was over worked! The first man who seated was certain to state started out of gate they were out of 4 or 5 menu items ( 2 of which upon initial review of menu we were certain we would order so no go). I inquired on a holiday spring great weather weekend why they might be out of so many items and he shrugged and said “ like I said only been here 2 days”… onto good stuff— they let us sample two brut and rose offerings before purchasing a bottle. The server was super friendly and responsive given her workload. The servings are large- the goat cheese fritters and Brussels way larger than med to be! We ordered an almond encrusted chicken on spinach salad from a ‘special items’ menu and it should be on the regular menu. Chicken to die for! We will try them again.

This Burntshirt overlooks a busy road, service is horrible and they were playing Bingo with really loud music the night we had dinner reservations but never mentioned it. It was piped everywhere so there was nowhere to escape. We left. The Burntshirt at Chimney Rock is way better! Great service, great food and a beautiful view.
