Join us for a tasting menu of delicious food and perfectly matched wines. You'll enjoy a five course menu with a paired wine flight for £85pp. Please note: This will be the only menu available on this evening. Dine from our Bistro Menu for some lovely dishes at amazing value. 2 courses for £15 or 3 for £20. It’s available at lunchtimes Friday and Saturday and until 6:30 on Wednesday and Thursday. We’ve worked hard with our chefs to strip things back and keep things really simple. It’s good, hearty, tasty stuff served to you by a team who love what they do. And sometimes you don’t need anything more than that.

Fantastic table service. Gorgeous food. Cool music and great atmosphere. I don’t really like sticky toffee pudding but shared yours with my wife and it blew me away !! Will definitely recommend to friends and hope to visit again and check out your other restaurants. Top experience.

Exceptional food that is reasonably priced coupled with great service. The Burn Truffle is without doubt the best restaurant in the area and probably on the Wirral.

We went with friends who hadn’t been before, they were very impressed with the restaurant in every aspect, although thought the wine was a little expensive! The food was really good, as usual, and we certainly be visiting again soon.

This was our first visit to Burnt Truffle with a voucher from our daughter. The food was excellent, served by an attentive (but not over intrusive) maître d'. The ambience of the dining room was respectfully quiet. We were not rushed and enjoyed a long, comfortable lunch. For my starter I selected the Garlic Focaccia and for my main course the Butter Roasted Pork Ribeye, with aged parmesan creamed polenta. My husband chose Sticky Belly Bacon for his starter and the Chicken Schnitzel With A Shawarma Spiced Butter for his main. We added a side order of truffle and parmesan chips We then shared the Toasted Coconut Ice Cream with rum, poached pineapple for dessert. As I have already said the food was excellent and we will return again.

We all had several choices we liked on the menu and had a delicious meal with good wine and really efficient and friendly staff. We could not fault our evening and will certainly be returning soon!

Food and service were very good.A quiet night meant that noise levels were low which was good but more covers would have meant more atmosphere.We dined early on a Thursday night so things probably improved later.We will dine there again.

The welcome was cool, and a bit defensive. The server seemed a bit forced. Food: I enjoyed the confit duck, the halibut had been over salted . I thought the price of wine by the glass was excessive. We like having freshly prepared food that is different from typical pub fare which is otherwise the norm in this area.

We have been to Burnt Truffle lots of times and after a dip in both the quality of the food and service last time we went, we had a break hoping it would go back to the standard we had previously had. Really disappointed with the food last night, very mediocre. The sauces for both mains were so watery you couldn't call them sauce. The steak was well cooked and chips delicious but what makes it a restaurant dish is the sauce and accompaniments. The duck leg main was ok but no flavour in the Parsnip puree or the watery red wine sauce. The starters were very small and more suited to a tasting menu, especially the crab cake which was the size of a small meatball. The pate was a very thin slice and was not made in house. The service was very slow again and at times painful.

We had the Tasting Menu. Absolutely amazing. The food and pairing of the wine was thoughtful and creative. Our amazing waitress Emily explained the wine and the menu beautiful. Including encouraging us to try the sweet wine before and after the dessert. What a difference! Lovely evening, great atmosphere, fabulous tasty food.. Many Thanks

Food was delicious with suggested wine pairings on the menu that took the faff out of ordering a compatible wine with the food. Service was excellent and the atmosphere cosy and intimate. Had a great evening out and will be going back again soon.

Our group of six was very well taken care of by Emily. My wife and I have been to Burnt Truffle on a number of occasions and we knew that the food would be excellent. However, needing to entertain 4 guests (= party of 6) can be awkward (as restaurants tend to like nice neat rectangular tables), but we had noticed that Burnt Truffle have some round tables that would seat 6 people comfortably and enable easy conversation.

Booked for 8. Emily is very helpful and reserved a great table although numbers initially were 4-6-possibly 8. It was busy and Emily was working very hard but we had a minor delay in being served. This didn’t matter as we all had water on the table and a good chat! The food is excellent. Good menu choices and nice selection of wines and beers including low alcohol pale ale. Will definitely be going back. Really lovely restaurant with really nice ambience and chefs certainly know what they are doing!

Really excellent food with great vegan options. Very good wine pairing. Slight glitch with meals arriving at different times Warm and Welcoming and lovely special effort to mark our friend's 70th birthday which was much appreciated. It was slightly noisier than we would like but then we are quite old!

The value for money of the January Bistro menu is incredible - and means you can have all the more extras (not just the parmesan and truffle chips!) If you can, do get there to give it a go. Also shout out to Emily, who managed the whole lunch time service on her own.
