Located in Hyde Park, on the corner of 43rd and Speedway in the historic former post office building, Bureau de Poste at Tiny Grocer is a neighborhood French bistro offering classics with a modern twist. An exciting partnership between Top Chef alum Jo Chan and Steph Steele of Tiny Grocer fame, Bureau de Poste has been named Best New Restaurant by Texas Monthly and Austin Monthly.

Really liked Bureau de Poste and Tiny Grocer. The ambiance is very refreshing. The menu and food are fantastic. But it is really amazing when the waitstaff just make it feel right. The Monday night flank steak and frites special was cooked perfectly, the salad was great, and the mustard sauce with the charcuterie is awesome. I’ll definitely be back and thank you for a memorable evening.

Best steak frites I’ve ever had in my life! If I could have it once a week I would! The service is always fantastic and you’ll want to buy everything in the tiny grocer store

Great location, awfully rude staff and food was meh. At best. Clearly, these folks don't understand Austin, Texas. We're kind here and friendly. Won't be back.

The location is super cute. The Tiny Grocer store has some fun specialty food things. The food was just ok. The moules were plump yet tasteless - the sauce was very limited at the bottom of the bowl and even if you could spoon any, it didn't add much to the mussel. The trout tartar needs some kind of citrus sauce to punch the flavor - not much, just a little. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sauces were all interesting - we tried all of them. The frites were a little luke warm. The haricot verts were perfect!

Loved this place!! Food was really yummy and service was amazing. My only issue is … it’s a little pricey!!! Will go back again for sure!!

Great food and service, really lovely patio. Value is good not great, but that's Austin these days. Will come back.
