(Online reservations for 5 or more, please call us)** 2 hour min required for Pre Count Basie show reservations. The classy and elegant Buona Sera is located in Red Bank area of New Jersey. The dining room is gorgeous with carefully planned details and decorations that add a sense of refinement to the restaurant. You can also host an event or party in the Wine Cellar or Tuscan Room. Catering services can be ordered for in-house reservations as well as for outside events.

Buona Sera is a full service bar and restaurant, and our menu is quite extensive, giving you a lot of lunch and dinner options to choose from. Start off with one of the large and flavorful appetizers, then continue to the main course. Entrées at Buona Sera include pasta, veal, choice steaks, chicken, pork chops, various types of ravioli and seafood. Veal chops from this restaurant are some of the most popular dishes on the menu and are worth trying.

The service, food, and DJ entertainment were very good. Don't let the DJ comment fool you this is an upscale restaurant that has a DJ who starts around 9:30 and plays 80s, 90s, and 2000 music. Dinner service is over for the most part so why not keep the crowd in the establishment dancing? Good clean adult fun. On the recommendation list. You show go if you get the chance.

Our server Ruthann was great. Even though the meal was a late coming out the manager spoke to us and gave a complimentary dessert to make up for the delay

Great restaurant. Big portions for sure. Clams casino was better than the fried calamari. Pastas were fresh and tasty. Restaurant was very busy took our reservation in a timely manner, but very loud. We didn’t try a dessert as we were full but a good selection was offered. We would go back to enjoy the experience.

Excellent food and service was superb. We were seated on time by Mike. Chris came by to ask if everything was ok. Our server made great recommendations which we followed. Desserts were delicious. Drinks were good but the wine list is unbelievable.

A great Red Bank restaurant. It is a great lively venue with several levels and rooms that all provide a different feel. An extremely competent and varied menu. IMHO, they are best at Fish and Veal, with my favorite menu item the Veal Osso Bucco or the Grilled Veal Chop. The clams oreganata and the Sardinian Pizza/Flatbread are always delicious. A must TRY!!! The wait staff is always professional and attentive. As great bar scene along with a fabulous wine list to choose from. Last but NOT least, there is a smoking room on the 2nd fl. with it's own bar and TV's. A great spot to have your dessert and/or after dinner drink along with your favorite smoke.

I have been a patron for a few years now. Usually we sat at the bar. Always very good food and service. Last night we had a table. We ordered the $28 stuffed meatball, which I had highly recommended. We were starving and enjoyed the meatball, even though it wasn’t warm. That’s why a 4 and not a 5 star.

My husband and I had drinks in the cigar bar with Joe the bartender. He was awesome. After my husband finished his cigar we went downstairs to be seated for our 6:15 reservation. As soon as we were seated our server asked if we were attending the show next door which we were. Our food came out hot and delicious. We shared a caponata pizza which we devoured. Husband had chicken scarpariello which he could barely finish as the serving was huge. I had a special request - salmon, broiled with balsamic glaze and steamed veggies. It was perfect. Always a treat going to Buona Sera.

Everything was great. The only disappointment was the bronzino being served in an enormous pan. The presentation just wasn't very good, but it was delicious!

Really like this place. Great atmosphere!! Stuffed meatball was great! Eggplant parmigiana ok. Wedge salad and penne vodka were great! Service excellent! Very busy Saturday evening before a show in Red Bank so food came quickly. Overall I highly recommend!

The food is outstanding, but the prices have skyrocketed. The service was excellent, but they could’ve used another waiter on the floor. I will definitely come back, but I will bring more money next time.

First off we were a party of 4 and they give us 3 rolls with no butter. Waitress was snotty. Went so downhill from the past. Food was nothing great at all.

As usual the Buona Sera experience was spot on! We have been there a number of times in the past, and the food, service, and overall atmosphere was incredible. Our waiter was funny and attentive. The food was delicious. And of course the experience was great. Good vibes without being rushed out. We continue to enjoy ourselves at Buona Sera and will continue to go as often as we can. Highly recommend it!!

We usually avoid Italian restaurants because I can cook Italian dishes, but was going to nearby Count Basie Theater and remembered Italian cousins had gone there years before. Definitely would recommend this restaurant! Starting off with the tender Breasola, we thought it was as good as one of my "aunts." The two of us shared theFrench cut Veal Parmesan which was large enough for the two of us with leftovers, which we saved in our cooler in the car. We were full, so we didn't get dessert. The service was good, they described the dishes that we had questions about quite accurately plus they were aware that we were going to the theater. They didn't rush us, the timing of the food was perfect, I am a slow eater. Got to the theater a few doors down with more than enough time.

Having been to this restaurant numerous times our meal on this trip was terrible. Dining area and bar area extremely overcrowded. Very dissapointed expected a good meal. Prices for veal are off the charts more than a filet mignon. Most likely will not be returning.

Food was excellent. Large portions. We ordered the stuffed meatball & bruschetta pomodoro for apps. 2 of us had the special Chicken Rolletini which was huge and the chicjen was so tender. My husband had the pork Osso Bucco & other guest had Ckn Parm. Desert I had the Creme Brulee. I will say it was crowded so the noise level was high. We actually had to shout to talk but would definitely go back again.

From the moment I walked in and was greeted by a charming host until I paid the check by a very attentive wait server, I was very pleased . I would definitely go back and would recommend. Their food is very good, and the service is also very good !

Overall everything was good but I can’t say exceptional Would we go back yes My son had the filet and it was cooked to perfection I had the lobster ravioli with seafood but the seafood was one scallop and two small shrimps and the sauce was ok My other half had the veal chop parm and it’s the first time he got a piece he couldn’t chew Dessert was good
