Des produits frais issus de petites fermes prisées y sont mis à l'honneur. Situé à l'extrémité de la route du canyon dans la ville portuaire historique de Port Costa, ce restaurant routier accueille les autochtones, les voyageurs et les aventuriers d'un jour au sein de son bar et de sa salle à manger typique de 1897. Doté de salles aux allures de saloon, l'établissement jouit d'une tradition d'hospitalité vieille de plus de 100 ans. Les propriétaires du restaurant cherchent avant tout à conserver cette tradition chaleureuse. Vous pourrez vous y détendre, bien manger et serez prêt à y revenir. We had a Sunday night dinner here for our wedding anniversary. It's a cool restaurant in a great little town. It's worth coming early to take a walk around Port Costa and maybe have a drink at The Warehouse Cafe before dinner. We ordered the grilled sardines and the burrata to start, and shared the gnocchi and the succotash with stuffed squash blossoms. Everything was deliciously fresh and tasty. Friendly service, cool antique decor. Would recommend!

I love the drive coming to this place and the quirky environment of this very small community. The restaurant itself is wonderful. The food is terrific, although the selection is a little small. My complaint from this last visit was they were out of three dishes that my table wanted to order at 6:30pm on Mother’s Day. Additionally I think our waiter was new. He could not answer a couple of questions we had about ingredients and took an inordinately long time to bring some of the items we ordered. I feel the service should be better considering the high price range

Four of us had a sublime, relaxed afternoon in the shade of the patio on a hot day. We stayed two and a half hours! Every bite we had was spectacular: fried chicken, gnocchi, a wonderful veggie dish, the Cava, the desserts. Everyone who works there is friendly and easygoing. It felt like a vacation afternoon. Thank you!

Very nice ambience in a historical town the food was creative but very salty, portions are somewhat small we left hungry and for 2 adults and one child the bill was over $200. Overall we had a good experience. The last time we ate here was several years back and our next time will probably be around the same.

The food here is always amazing, I have been eating here for years and I have never been disappointed. Really cool old town with a lot of history. The view is amazing from the rear parking lot. Across the water you can see Benicia, at night is amazing lights to look at

We have been going to Bull Valley through several iterations, from the time it was 2 rooms and pretty rough. The food is great and much more inventive than in the past. But, the heart seems to be gone from the place. It doesn’t feel as special or personable as under previous crew, maybe 4-5 years ago. It was pleasant but feels like another good restaurant but in an unexpected location.

Took a friend who was visiting from abroad. Unfortunately, it was not the usual scrumptious food. Mac & cheese was VERY salty, fried artichoke was bland, but the Succotash was “good” and the duck liver pate was delicious. Service was great!

Rustica and artichoke apps were awesome. Fried chicken way too greasy, spicy sauce was oily, hot no flavor Lemon dessert and caramel pudding both delicious. Cider drinks were divine. Ambiance was very chill. Nice vibe- water views and vibe at biker bar next door was great way to hang out for a while and enjoy!

While the food was good, we didn't feel it warranted such high prices. The cocktails were also good. In addition, the restaurant was so noisy we could not hear one another speak - the atmosphere was not conducive to conversation. The service was outstanding. I would recommend the Bull Valley Roadhouse with warnings about the prices and noise level.

Dinner started out well and then after the large plate the timing got off. Sat for a long while after finished. Also sat for a long while for dessert to arrive after ordering. Was told that it was complementary for a birthday but was charged for dessert. Overall great food.

Drinks were amazing! Appetizers were great but the main dish (burger) was average. The bottom bun was a little burnt and fries were a little salty. Service was amazing too! The town is cute and the ambience/decor is so unique. A great date night. Would come back but maybe try another main dish.

Well off the beaten path but still close to home for us. Food, service and ambience were excellent but our bottle of Cabernet was REALLY cold. Maybe keep some warm decanters ready? I can't warm up anything with my hands because I have Reynaud's syndrome. Parking area potholes were DEEP and our car bottomed out twice while leaving. Somebody should truck in some gravel, or something, or make sure you go in an SUV or something else with plenty of ground clearance, if street parking is all taken.

Bull Valley killed it yet again. Ryan, our food-mood psychologist, sent us down a path of our own version of Ratatouille. There were 3 of this time and Ryan recommended a scarce menu item…Beef Shank with risotto and broccoli. We were drinking and laughing away and then it arrived…it was gorgeous and large. Upon each of our first bites it was clear to us that it unlocked some sort of core childhood memory. This changed the course of our conversation and we started reminiscing about our childhood. The risotto and broccoli were also delicious. Also let me state that my wife and I have always made a concerted effort to patronize non-chain restaurants. Post pandemic we’ve doubled that effort making sure we do our part to go to restaurants that matter to us and constantly deliver great experiences. I understand we’re fortunate we both worked as servers in our early 20s so we know full well the result of a great experience. Support your favorite places and take a chance now and then as well!
