"Buena Vida Tapas & Sol is a restaurant on Atlanta's Beltline in Old Fourth Ward inspired by Southern Spain run by General Manager Lorenzo Masini and owned by local restaurateurs Adam Berlin & Juan S. Calle. Fun and approachable Spanish tapas by Executive Chef Jaime Guzman are served in an airy, beautiful space with a large indoor bar and Beltline-facing patio. This Atlanta concept is located in the corner of the North & Line apartments, just down the Beltline ramp from New Realm Brewing (or driving accessed down N Angier Ave NE from North Avenue, behind Ponce City Market). @buenavidatapas on IG to stay up to date."

While the food is great, the service the couple of times I have been here have not been good. We initially were a walk in and were told they were seating reservations first. Ok, that’s fair. I then go check reservations and there are reservations available for every time slot. I make a reservation and we got seated within 5 minutes. After being seated it took 20-25 minutes for someone to even come by and great us. Much of the staff was huddled around the bar clearly chit chatting. Over half the tables were empty with plenty of staff available, so having no one come greet us, fill waters, and take drink orders was unacceptable. The previous visit to Buena Vida was similar, it took about 20 minutes before even being greeted. It, again, was not even close to busy.

I like the live music on the patio, but it was extremely loud. My friend and I could barely hear each other

Please know that live music is only featured once a week, and on other days, the music is not as loud. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, we recommend trying our inside seating when we have bands or DJs performing on the patio. Great food and atmosphere in a cool location. Tapas were as good, if not better, than local benchmarks in the city. Will definitely come back back into ITP for this treat!

Food price vs. quantity was poor. Ordered steak bites that had to be sent back twice due to being raw in the middle and the third time was raw and cold.

Great food, lovely presentation. Lively vibe. Live music alternated with taped Latino music. Party atmosphere with a designated dance floor. Beautiful outdoor setting. Definitely will be back.

Excellent experience! Very attentive staff.. Food came out in timely manner and it was delicious. I expected the Paella dishes to be a larger portions but the flavor/taste was great! Thanks for the hospitality off the Beltline!

Food was good but nearly everything was under salted. If this had been seasoned properly with salt it would have been outstanding. Vibe was good but hard to hear people at our table. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. however the speed of service was slow. Order taking, getting drinks and food took forever. We had one missing item from our order and the team went above and beyond to rectify it. Lots of pros, looking forward to giving another try.

Our service was extremely poor: the server was not timely and lacked the etiquette of a dining experience, they were out of most of their dishes but did not inform us until later, the parking is not clearly labeled, and the bathrooms were atrocious. The restaurant has great potential was is not managed well at all.

Great food and ambience however our server seem to have very little interest in serving us, gave us no cutlery or napkins, we had empty drinks and had to request service multiple times, the management did however react quickly once it was brought to their attention and did everything to rectify the situation.

We made a reservation for 10 people at 8:45. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told we would have to wait “a few minutes” for a table to be ready. We patiently waited over 30 minutes, and then the host proceeded to seat us separately at 3 different tables. There was no apology from the hostess or supervisor regarding the delay, and they in fact blamed us for “making the reservation late”. Once we were seated, the server was great and food was tasty and timely, but the initial experience was very disappointing.

the service was excellent and most of the food was tasty. The fried chicken was overcooked and dry who was disappointing. Drinks took a bit too long. They are also transitioning to a qr code to pay your bill which I hate.

We were excited to go to a good Tapas restaurant. The menu looks fantastic but the quality was mediocre. The service was awful. Had to prompt waiters and servers to move things along. They never asked if we wanted additional drinks, etc. Then there was the suggested default tip percentage of 25%. No tip would have been more appropriate. Will never return.

Was sat near the back entrance which was very dim. Which was not the vibe for brunch. Overall the food was tasty. Service was a little slow. Even with not a lot of tables sat. But the food was tasty. Will give another try.

Food was good. Margarita was too spicy. The spice level wasn’t pleasant, like the cocktail was angry and had a score to settle with our tastebuds. Young man who served us was excellent.

The experience was good. I do think lighting could a bit better when involving family friendly. However, for girls night out or date night it was great.

My daughter had this on her long “bucket list” of restaurants so we decided to go on her birthday, 2/19/24. What an excellent choice! We loved it!!! The vibe and ambiance was was modern chic and kinda cozy! It was a Monday evening so the crowd was light but that was fine with us!! We enjoyed the tapas style as it allowed us to sample several different small dishes all of which were delicious!! Pricing was reasonable. Shout out to Preston!! He was the best!! He had an awesome disposition, he knew the menu, offered honest suggestions and really took care of my daughter and I all evening!! The entire staff that night was very friendly and professional. Even the server in training was great! We will definitely request Preston on our next visit. The manager also came out to ensure we were good. Gotta love that right? Especially in this day where good customer service seems to be a thing of the past!! Oh yea, they validate parking (2 hr max) so another plus! I would highly recommend Buena Vida!!

The food was very good and the price seemed right all around. Service was strange in the beginning, but once seated, our waiter turned it around.

Brunch was very average. The meal was very ordinary, forgettable and something you can get at any other Atlanta brunch place. I would not return to this restaurant for brunch. Service was very good as well as the ambiance. I've had a better dinner experience at this restaurant before.

This was a Top 10 dining experience of my life! A group of 10 of us were here to celebrate a birthday last Saturday. We were greeted with a free shot and a personalized card for the birthday boy upon arrival. We had an amazing 2-team wait staff that was funny and informed and helpful all night… and I mean all night - we ended up staying for 3 hours! We tried nearly everything on the menu, the cauliflower and sliders were both to die for. And the mojo steak! Drinks FLOWED. Everyone raved and raved afterwards. The food and ambiance and service and drinks were all 5 stars. The price was very fair for the quality.

I went for the first time over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed all of the food we ordered. Our table of 4 ordered 8 different tapas and each was delicious. The fig and goat cheese salad would be great for someone looking for their own meal that is accompanied with a tapas plate or two. For dessert, we enjoyed the Churros and will definitely go back. My biggest complain is the music is very loud. One of the reviews said to request the room in the front but when I stepped inside, it was just as noisy as the main part of the restaurant. Why can't the music be a loungy vibe instead of making me feel like I am in a dance club? The music is there for background ambiance, not to dominate the room. Most people are there to enjoy great food and conversation. but the ladies in our group both said it was very loud! Please turn the volume down or alter the music selection!

The music selection was very irrelevant to the ambiance and the food culture. The food is Spanish tapas, the atmosphere is modern, but the music was very loud Latino regggatone. No one was dancing! They should find an energetic, quality European playlist. Just saying!

The food was delicious! Will visit again and hopefully when it’s warmer to take advantage of the patio. Food came out quickly, however drink service was a bit slow. Waters were always filled quickly tho!

So glad that we have found this gem in Atlanta. We are here for business and went out to dinner last night. The Brussels Sprouts were fantastic and all other dishes had us crave for more too. Definitely leave room for desert!
