Cold food, 30 minutes for drinks. Staff forgot about us multiple times. The lunch took over two hour from start to finish. The host ordered appetizers were didn’t ask for. It looked like staff were quiting mid-shift. Horrible experience.

The service was so weird. The place was half empty and it took 30 mins to get a table. Food was ok. Drinks were good!

This place has unfortunately changed a lot since my first visit. I don’t think I will come back after my last experience. Even with a reservation we waited 45 min and had to keep reminding the staff to seat us. The staff was drinking heavily and kept forgetting our order. The food wasn’t good.

Noise level was thru the roof; we could barely hear one another. The service was terrible; we were constantly asking for refills of the bottle of water, had to flag down severs to give our order, and we’re still waiting for the second round of drinks (which, actually, we finally cancelled an hour after ordering and not getting them). No need to return.

We had a small company event at Buena Vida. The food and service was excellent. The owner came to personally thank us. He is a Mescal expert and he shared his favorite Mescal with our team. We will definitely be going back to Buena Vida in the future.

We sat outside, which was a little noisy due to a busy street but well separated by a wooden fence. They had $2 street tacos on the menu for Taco Tuesday. The food was delicious! From the tortilla chips and various dips they gave us at the beginning to the tacos. I’m from NH so we have ok Mexican food. This literally was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Me and my coworkers weren’t even done with our dinner there and we had already talked about coming back the next night for our last night in town. Highly recommend!

Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged and give drink order to waiter. Dinner was served to two of us first and the other four about 10 mins later. Plates were never cleared from our table. Had to track waiter down for check.

Environment was great but some of the salsas tasted fermented as if they were past their best by date. The service was not the best being that we had to flag down someone to take our order and keep chasing them down as they forgot to bring things.

Food was amazing and drinks were delicious! Our Server gave excellent recommendations and seemed to know everything about the menu. The place is comfortable and have beautiful art work. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely come back!

Excellent and gracious service and delicious food. Tacos are a bit pricey but generous. The sides are a great value-portions are huge! The plantains are crisp on the outside - soft and sweet inside! The Al Pastor taco was amazing!

We didn’t even get to eat. They were slow to get us seated despite reservations and when we did get seated we saw a mouse before we got our food and left.

Since your review, we've had our routine monthly pest control come by twice to evaluate the situation, and we've had no reports since. WARNING: please read before stepping into this mess of a cantina. I couldn’t make up this story if I tried. Me and a couple friends walk in on Cinco de Mayo and the bar is packed as well as the other seats in the restaurant. We were sat in the upstairs seating area, if you can call it that. There was a sheet, yes a bed sheet, separating us from one of the supply closets. After about 10 minutes, we had to ask for water. About ten minutes later, we received water and the waiter took our drink and appetizer order, guac and wings. Our drinks took 30 mins to come out, but we did get guac and wings. Too bad the wings were undercooked to the point that raw red flesh was showing upon first bite. We finally got our drinks and mine was not humanly consumable. I ordered the “hot mess” margarita. It was indeed that. It was so spicy that burn from one sip lasted for ten minutes. After a surprisingly tasty entree, we thought the night was looking up. Suddenly, glass starts breaking downstairs. We hear the sounds of shattering glass three different times. We almost left our table, but decided to stay put. Why did we do that? Moments later I saw a rat scurry across the ground UPSTAIRS and underneath a door. We all stood up and started leaving fast. I told our waiter that there was a mouse upstairs. All she gave me was a blank stare. Do with this what you will.

Thank you for the review & feedback. This is definitely not the experience for which we strive! We reported the incident to pest control, and have not had an incident/sighting since. As for your food and the noise from the bar, it is clear that we we failed to exceed your expectations, and I hope that you'll visit us again one day. (The breaking glass noise was likely empty glass bottles from the bar being thrown into the glass bin. It can often sound like glass breaking and be loud.)

We went for Cinco de Mayo. It was busy but not as busy as I expected for the holiday. Nice atmosphere. Service was good. However it was very cold inside. I asked the host to close the door and he said no. Everyone was wearing a coat inside. Food was fine. The guacamole was too chunky. It should have been mashed more and more spices to up the flavor. The ribs were tasty. We each had one taco, both were good. Margaritas were overpriced and not very strong. We ordered a Pitcher, which is really a carafe. It was mostly full of ice and cost $80!!! 2 of use shared the pitcher and barely felt anything after drinking it. Definitely not worth $80

I dined at this location for Cinco de Mayo. The wait stuff was fairly new, but did their best. It took well over half an hour to get an appetizer, so I’m not sure what was going on in the kitchen. The food was good and the drinks were good and overall it was OK.

The food, drinks, service and ambiance were all amazing! We were having a birthday brunch with friends and family. So great we forgot to take pictures. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely come back.

Poor service. Ran out of Guacamole. It’s a Mexican restaurant. Waitress Ariane was not really interested in serving the customers. Never checked again for drinks, dessert or anything else. Instead we were told that the Bar and kitchen were closed. Really disappointed.

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advanced, got an email two days before asking me if I was still attending (to which I replied yes) and when I arrived with my guests I was told that they had my reservation, but refused to seat us. There were several people waiting with the same problem and I noticed a few open tables towards the back. When I asked about one of the open tables they said they were reserved for a party of 4 that was arriving in 10 minutes. I had originally reserved upstairs seating, but they told me it was booked for a private event. My guess is the other guests that were waiting there had also reserved for upstairs but were never notified that it was no longer available. There was a convention in town so finding another place to eat around was next to impossible. Food didn’t look so good either.

Hi Juame M, you arrived for your reservation 49 minutes late (you checked in at 12:49, when your reservation as at 12:00). That is why we couldn't seat you at the time you had arrived, as we had to give your table to someone else.

The food was delicious we loved the ambiance the service was amazing but we were bummed they didn’t have fish for our tacos and they didn’t have Rum for our mojitos and the chocolate for the churros was cold instead of being warm they should have Mexican Caramel for the churros so I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5
