It’s been a while since I’ve been to Buca but I was disappointed at the whole experience. We had a reservation for 2 and we were seated right away, but at a table for 8, which was really odd. I also forgot how expensive it is for just 2 people. We ordered me small entree (Chicken Parmesan) and one small pasta (Penne alla Vodka) and it gave us 5 pretty good-sized portions, but for those not wanting that much food, there’s no other option. When we ordered, our server suggested that we order some garlic bread or other appetizer and we declined, but he never offered nor brought complimentary bread that they used to provide. After our meal came, I asked the waiter if they don’t serve bread anymore and he said, “Sure, I can get you some house bread,” but he never would’ve brought it if I hadn’t seen it at another table and asked for it. After we were finished eating we looked at the dessert menu and about fell off our chairs when we saw that their tiramisu was $18! We’ve had it before and it is good (served in a cereal-sized bowl), but for that price I’m hoping it’s a bigger serving than last time we had it. All things considered, it will probably take a really good promotion to get us to try Buca again.

We made this reservation for our kids and friends to enjoy something fun before prom. They had gift cards and coupons. They were told they could not use both at the same time. Gift cards are like paying with a credit card. The coupon should be allowed. They were also told they couldn’t get change on their gift cards. I didn’t know you had to use up a gift card in a single visit. We won’t be visiting again anytime soon.

Was not anticipating spaghetti to cost over $35. I don't mind paying for great pasta but that is not what is served here. Ended up with personal pizza which was okay but pretty much what I could buy at any mediocre restaurant. Maybe it would have been better on a less busy night; went on Valentines Day. Parking lot is small, which does not correlate with ginormous interior, had to park two blocks away. Our server was personable albeit very busy. I would spending your time and money elsewhere.

Food was good! We celebrated 3 birthdays and staff sang. It was nice! Service was good but slow at times. Drinks to awhile to get.

Buca was okay. The food was just ok, salad was dripping with dressing and the pasta was no better than I get in the fridge section of the grocery store, and certainly a lot more expensive. We had 2 waiters who didn’t seem to be communicating with each other. It was fine, but not a place I would choose in the future.

Vegan review: There is one (1) vegan entrée, confirmed by the allergen page on the website, which is the traditional spaghetti and marinara. It was good but fairly standard tasting. This is not a restaurant that those following a vegan diet would seek out, but rather go to as part of a larger group. It would behoove the restaurant to add more vegan options (especially an appetizer and a salad) because our group of 4 almost did not eat here tonight due to lack of vegan options for the one person in our group who requested it.

I'll begin with the positive. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was cozy and festive. I booked a table for Thanksgiving at Buca based 100% on the information given that the regular menu would still be available. I have an adult son with autism who has a lot of food sensitivities. I wanted him to enjoy his dinner too. He likes your plain pizza. The first thing we were told when we sat down was there would be no pizzas. He is well-mannered, but he was disappointed. The waitress helped him choose some mozzarella sticks. The gentleman who brought them out was condescending when my son asked him "what's on top of the mozzarella sticks." He used a snotty tone when answered "it's cheese on cheese". They were soggy and rubbery. Heck, the frozen ones from Costco are better. So my son had bread and pie for Thanksgiving dinner. The rest of us had the family style Thanksgiving dinner. Dry turkey, plain green beans, and dry, salty stuffing. The garlic mashed potatoes were actually darn good, and the cranberry sauce and gravy were serviceable. The pumpkin pie was ice cold. It had not been completely defrosted. If dinner had been delicious, the bill wouldn't have bothered me so much. But it was dreadful. We would have had a better meal at a Denny's or a Perkins. I remember when a family dinner at Buca was a treat. This was like dorm cafeteria food.

Went for Thanksgiving, food was great and service was too. Only complaint was it wasn’t clear that you couldn’t use the lunch menu for the holiday. We enjoyed Italian for Thanksgiving and had enough to take home for a couple of meals.

This place has gone downhill. Bread they bring you isn’t what it used to be. The server did not care to be there. She took half the tables order, we had to go get her to come back. She brought the wrong wine, didn’t pour. There was no way to correct it as she already opened it before it got to the table. Food came out at different intervals. Place used to be a destination for family, now it’s just an Olive Garden.

We love this place and we will be back!! Our server Linda was fantastic! Unfortunately, the food is not the caliber it used to be. Next time, we will get our old standbys of spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Marsala. Caesar salad was delicious as was shrimp Diablo. Baked ziti was ok. We will go back though!

Our dinner at Buca was wonderful!! I hadn’t been there in many years and it was just as good as I remember. I always love going to a restaurant that makes you feel like you are in another country, when decorated in the way it would be if you were actually there. Will definitely be back again

This was my daughter 18th birthday celebration and from the minute the girls got there the waitress was rude and clearly didn’t like her job. Everything was a bother, and her attitude in lack of a better word SUCkED !! Jaclyn might need a new profession. I prob shouldn’t have left what I did as a tip, but do to the rather large bill for 12 I felt I had to.

Food was average to blah. Calamari was so chewy. The small shrimp scampi had 12 pieces of med shrimp (41-50 in a pound), this is to feed 2-3 people, so 1/4 pound of shrimp. $15 for garlic bread. $37 for 3 SMALL chicken breasts in lemon caper sauce. Definitely no hormones given to those chickens, they may be malnourished considering the size of the breasts. Roughly 1/2 pound of chicken. Wanted the chicken Marsala but told the sauce has changed, now it’s just a mass-produced premade sauce. No wonder the place was nearly empty on Easter at 6pm when so many other restaurants were closed. Not planning to return. Used to love it here too. Waiters can still sing their little Birthday song though.
