We asked for some more bread an we hardly touched it so we took it home an later on that night we got hungry so heated up our leftovers an the bread had mold on it an the chicken Parmesan was not done all the way an the breading wad falling off...not a very good meal for $290.00.. Highly disappointed 😞..

Server was unattentive, never acknowledged reservation was booked as a birthday. Frequently walked by our table without asking if we needed anything, sat ready to pay for some time.

Our server was great, never had to ask for anything because he continued to check on us. Can't recall his name, but we were there at howe avenue location, 11am on April 11th. He was always pleasant and smiling too!

Went with coworkers for dinner, but didn’t know that the only way to order was platters for table, family style, no individual dishes. The photos all over the walls are fun. It’s kind of like an Italian themed Applebees.

I booked a reservation for 4:15, even though I knew I probably didn’t need one for that time of day because I can get points. Well, the hostess didn’t bother to check me in, which caused issues (no-show for my reservation). I had a feeling I should have asked her to do it in front of me, but I sat down and forgot. Besides that, had a good experience..which should be expected since we were the only ones dining in the restaurant at the time. However, they didn’t have pizza because the “dough was not rising correctly”. That was disappointing, but it ended up saving us money as we decided to just share one entree (which we didn’t even finish among 3 adults).

We checked in and still had to wait past almost 20 minutes our reservation time. When we ordered a while later we were informed that they ran out of what we ordered. After we received our food, the manager and waitress gave us free dessert and didn’t charge us for our appetizers. Before we received our meal the manager went to the table before us and did not charge them for their meal because the same thing happened to them. For us they put the dessert on the tab and then took it off. The dessert was not how it use to be.

With reservations, we still had to wait 20 minutes for a table, even though the place was half empty. They were out of wine glasses and meatballs - at 5:00. We waited over an hour for our food after ordering. Cost was almost $400 for six people. Overall, a bad experience for the price.

We always enjoy eating here. It's one of the few places where you eat until you're full and still have plenty to take home! Also it's where our picky grandkids enjoy eating at! Our server Roz was most accommodating to our party of 7!

The food and service was excellent. The time to get the food was very long on Christmas evening but they told about the delay when we sat down so we spent the time talking and enjoying the family's company. Again the food and service was great.

Unfortunately, they overbooked the restaurant for Christmas. We waited 20 min to be seated (with a reservation ) and another 2 hours for food. The kids were bored and starving. The table next to us left after waiting 2.5 hours for their food and only received bread and drinks during this time. They ran out of meatballs and meat sauce for the spaghetti. The employees were nice, and we tried to be patient, but we were told that corporate wanted to make money on catering and there was nothing they could do.

There was some planning issues as there were multiple items on the menu that had already ran out before we were able to order around 2:45pm Christmas day. There was also a long delay on receiving our order from the kitchen.

Food portions were for three persons at least. Apparently the serve mostly takeout to families so their default serving size is for several persons. And they are unwilling or perhaps unable to serve single person portions.

They were booked so much for this date and ran out of a lot to choose from. No meat sauce no pizza, ext However the staff was so kind and tried their very best. I had excellent service and respect from everyone that worked that day. I will return and I had a great reservation even with those circumstances.

Over priced….horrible service…like we did not exist…never refilled our drinks…had to ask to be checked out and for to go containers,the chicken parmigiana came out the very last and was horrible… mushy…tried to talk to the manager after and that was a complete joke…was not even paying attention to me…will never go there again!

The server said tlshe wasn't told they ran out of lasagna. We were waiting for the lasagna and finally left as we were toldnwe would have to wait an additional 20 min.

When arriving and waiting for our reservation, we opted to grab a drink at the bar. There was one bartender who advised us, upon getting there, that we wouldn’t be getting our drinks any time soon because he was busy with other orders. We gave him our drink order and sat at the bar. 20 minutes passed and still no drinks and our table became available so we cancelled our drinks. At our table for 12, we were greeted by a nice server but when needing replacement dishes, or refills, she was nowhere to be found and our main dish came 30 minutes after our pasta was served so no one in our party wanted it. Poor service and mediocre food. A disappointment for sure since it was our office holiday party. We will not be returning.

Our server was not very attentive to our table and brought the wrong dish. We informed the manager and she was very nice by bringing us the correct item we ordered. The inside of the restaurant was fairly cold and I wondered if the heat was working.

Our food came kinda warm/cool. One of the people in our party asked for Pepsi. Our server forgot. Then came back with “we’re out of Pepsi.” So he went with Root Beer instead. Food came out fast. Took a bunch home.

Birthday gathering. Oven broke so no lasagna and blender broke so no blended drinks. But service was decent and they brought us a huge martini glass full of ice cream, brownies and whip cream. Good experience.

it was convenient, because we had a party of 15 for a birthday but it being our first time, we would of appreciated help with the menu and ordering. The waiter was very rushed and expected us to know, how to order and how big the portion sizes would be. We ended up ordering TOO MUCH food. plus the pasta was dry and had very little flavor for the amount they are charging per plate. Would not go back- felt scammed.

I was celebrating my anniversary and decided to have a late dinner. I made a reservation on open table at 9:30 pm. We arrived at the restaurant exactly at 9:30, we were waiting at the host stand to check in when one of the employees told us they were closed. I explained we had a 9:30 reservation, and he’s response was that they close at 9:30. Wether if it was true or not they should not have that time slot available if they are closed and or not willing to have guests dine with them. Very disappointed.

The food was great but the service was awful. She the server was slow on everything. We recognized she was pregnant and May had some issues with the baby kicking but we had to wait great length’s of minutes for each part of the service such as ordering, her returning to pickup the dirty dishes as well as returning the bill.

The portions are family size - I ordered the SMALL Green Apple Gorgonzola salad… FOUR of us ate from the bowl and there was still some left! The food was great and the service was excellent.

We celebrated my husbands 75th birthday. Our reservation was for 8:45 pm. There was supposed to be 14 of us but only 8 could make it.Not many people there. The room we were seated in was hot, apparently the ac wasn’t working and they had a fan. Otherwise the food was excellent and the waitress we had was very funny, talkative and attentive. We had a great time

Our reservation was ready upon arrival. We received a tour on the way to our table but unfortunately were seated by a very loud boisterous party of 12. After our bread arrived but before we ordered we requested to be moved to a quiet area and it was done within a couple of minutes. the new place was wonderful and quiet despite being near the stairs to the bathrooms. The food was ordered and came quickly. the lasagna was delicious and worth the money, but $18 for a plate of understeamed broccoli with parmesan cheese on top seemed too much. we thought it would be sauteed with garlic, but the garlic was separate and also undercooked, We took it home and it will be delicious sauteed to a tender crisp state with the garlic browned a little to make it mild and cooked rather than chopped raw tasting. The free birthday dessert was why we chose Buca in the first place (driving up from Stockton) and the colossal brownie sundae did not disappoint!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating of everything we asked. Again the staff was amazing. The food did not match that of the staff in which I will attribute it to the size of our party. I would certainly come back again

Homeless living right at the restaurant outside. Dirty. The waitress was awful. Not happy about having to do her job. The hostess apologized to her for putting people in her area. Manager tiptoed around her. Will NOT go back

It has been several years since we have been here, but things have definitely went downhill. We got three different family style pastas, bread, salads, app..the works, and only one of them tasted somewhat decent. Bread had way too much garlic on it, salads were soggy, fettuccine lacked serious flavor, baked ziti was just plain disgusting, and the server seemed like she definitely did not want to be there (automatic gratuity at 6 people btw). For $175-200, you can definitely get better food, and service somewhere else. We won't be returning...
