Although the meal was enjoyable it was a different experience for our party. Buca was out of several of the menu items including calamari and meatballs. It seemed very strange to be out of both items? Also the temperature inside the building seemed a bit warm like there is an ongoing issue with the HVAC system. The server was friendly and attentive and the food that we ordered was good. Maybe just an off day for the kitchen prep crew??

We were a party of 15 - I had had the reservation for 6 months - celebrating a graduate. Got there 15 minutes early. Waited over an hour to get our food and it was a total disaster. Waitress failed to mention the plates were family style. We had 4 bowls of pasta left over. We were just happy to have someone finally take our order. She brought another round of drinks for everyone - that we don’t ever remember ordering but paid for - came back after 30 minutes to say the pizza oven was down so we need to reorder - so we ordered even more pasta. Ugh.

The AC was out. It was sweltering. They joked it’s been out every year. We booked this in advance. They might have let us know. There were only 2 servers for a packed restaurant. Waited 2 hours for our food. Weren’t told the pizza oven was also out, until after all the adults finished their meals and the kids’ pizza never came. The kids sat and sat and sat and waited for their pizza. We had to actually go inside the restaurant and ask where it was. They were like, oh sorry, it’s not working. What a hot mess.

Terrible experience. Made a reservation for 6:45 on Mothers day, when we showed up people with 5:45 reservations were still waiting and told us that the restaurant informed them they were running an hour behind on reservations. Never got sat and had to abandon a mothers day dinner ruining the night.

Very disappointing experience. Waited 1.5 hours with a reservation and ended up leaving. Staff were unhelpful. Generally, Buca has declined over the years and this was last time we will go.

We were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation. They didn't offer the mothers day specials posted on their website and they did not have calamari, lasagna or coffee. The fettuccine Alfredo tasted like something from a jar. Staff members were polite and professional. The server we had was great. The rigatoni was fantastic, and we had plenty of leftovers.

We we’re sit way after our reservation time. The food took an hour to be ready. By the time the food arrived, I was no longer hungry. Our server just said sorry - didn’t even offer a drink or anything to compensate for the wait. It was obvious that I was celebrating Mother’s Day with my family. I think they should have offered something to compensate for the bad service

Reservation time was not honored and had to wait an extra hour. We were not the only group that had this experience. They did comp us some appetizers and salads to help (which was appreciated) but they need to figure out their reservation system better and only take those they can honor.

Attempted to order the manicotti, which the waiter told us the restaurant was out of, and recommended the stuffed shells instead stating they were “basically the same thing.” Not thinking anything of it, we accepted the change. However, the reason the cheese manicotti was ordered is because a member of our party does NOT eat meat. Cheese manicotti = no meat, stuffed shells = meat. That’s a pretty big difference and no where near “basically the same thing.” Luckily this was caught before they took a bite. 2. The restaurant smells bad. Like sewage, maybe? The restaurant is clearly aware of this, as there’s dusty air fresheners hidden around the restaurant (like, behind statues) to mask the horrid smell. It’s not working. Or at least, it’s not working well.
