A rooftop oasis with sweeping views of the city, Broken Shaker offers an eclectic menu of handcrafted cocktails and fresh bites. Created by Gabriel Orta and Elad Zvi of Bar Lab, Broken Shaker is a James Beard Award finalist and winner of Tales of the Cocktail’s Best American Hotel Bar. Our skilled bartenders shake up the perfect blend of elixirs, syrups and infusions, paired with fragrant herbs, fresh-pressed juices and exotic ingredients from around the world.

To keep the good vibes flowing, please make sure to read our policies below.
All table reservations have a 2 hour maximum time limit.
Children are only allowed before 6pm.
No outside food or beverage is permitted.
We can only allow a maximum of 8 guests for reservations. For parties of 9 or more, contact our events department at events.nyc@thefreehand.com.

Really bad entrance, down a skanky alleyway and in a grotty elevator. Service was slow (1 server ) drinks were reasonable but not what I expected from an awarded cocktail lounge. Overall really not one expected from the reviews, maybe my taste is elevated, maybe I make better drinks myself, maybe it’s just not for us.

The food was amazing and the drinks were excellent. We had a great time and the DJ was so good. We loved the entire vibe and will go back for sure.

Great energy and drinks. Noise level was pretty high which made it tough to have a conversation, but not impossible. But overall a nice spot for drinks with friends.

Such a cute spot. We LOVED the music. Food was gray drinks were a little different than we expected. Overall great time with great views.

Loved this rooftop. Big fan of broken shaker in miami so of course i had to check it out. Definitely a must.

The drinks were AMAZING!! We didn't try any food and didn't interact with the staff much - but it was a great experience overall.

Roof top experience was wonderful for a summer night. Despite a 90 minute table limit we were able to stay longer due to open tables.
