Since 2010, Briscola has firmly established itself on the Canberra food scene and is arguably this town's most popular Italian restaurant. Now with a newly refurbished venue, it offers an unpretentious yet stylish approach to an authentic Italian dining experience.
At the forefront it’s about the food: simple, wholesome and traditional without being old fashioned. The “old fashioned” is evident in the service with Gianni and his incredible staff focusing on giving the diner a charming experience.
What sets it apart is how they transport you to Italy. Start with an aperitivo to open the palate, enjoy a local or Italian wine varietal and finish with a soothing digestive.
Briscola is situated conveniently in the heart of the city near hotels and public transport.

The restaurant is immaculately clean and has a really nice vibe. The staff are attentive to customers, exceptionally professional and friendly, and the flavours of the food is next level. This restaurant delivers an excellent eating experience and I look forward to trying more of their food range in the future.

Excellent food and wine, staff were amazing especially Ainsley, her attention to reading the customers was amazing, great service professional and personal with a great little banter, her recommendations were exceptional. We chose well when booking this restaurant, a must when in Canberra.

We went on Valentine's Day and their valentines day menu was perfect and had a wide range of different options, but were simple as well for pickier eaters. The food we had was delicious and the service was amazing

Very nice food service was quick and pleasant have been a few times and always enjoyed the meals. Would highly recommend.

I am vegetarian and the menu had a V next to the meal, when I received the food I got a meat dish. I was told after I had taken a bite and eaten a small portion that I needed to look at the board as this dish changes. If it changes there should not be a V next to it. Vegetarians be careful when eaten by at this restaurant as they are not indicated correctly. Lucky it wasn’t a peanut allergy or something serious. Only vegetarians is not an allergy so no one cares.

Ordered 3x Pizzas Prosciutto - 9/10 Pepperoni - 10/10 - all 3 of our kids loved it Margherita - 5/10 - kids did not like it. We asked for it with no herbs or oregano.. it still came with some.

Amazing food, tasty and decently priced. It was absolutely POPPING OFF on a Monday night, so must be the place to go. Gorgeous vibes and great staff who gave perfect recommendations

We were seated outside and enjoyed a delicious meal. The staff were attentive and we will definitely return. If we had our time again, we would have booked for another weekend due to the noise from the SummerNats making conversations difficult when seated outside.

Family dinner. Kids meals well received by pickey kids. Adult meals good quality, good size serve and hot on the plate. Sat in a quiet corner which was nice. No draughts. A little hard to get the waitresses attention but attentive otherwise. Prices reasonable. Professional operation that knows what the customer wants. Very satisfied. Will be back. Thank you.

This restaurant deserves all the positive reviews. It was super busy on a Tuesday evening so a really good vibe. The service was friendly and fast and the food was delicious. Highly recommend

We arrived early for our booking but they found us a table even though they were very busy. The food and service were top class. Highly recommended.

Party of 6 inclusive of 2 teenagers and a gluten free parent. It was 2nd Jan and needed somewhere we could go with our guests. What a find!!! Great food.. in fact delicious food!!! Service was impeccable given the restaurant was full and busy. The girls kept on top of everything including updating us with the delay on mains. Can't fault them. Great that they also serve wine by the glass which is always a bonus as none of us want to all drink the same wine and with the extensive choices on offer, we were all very happy. We will be back!!
