Unfortunately we did not get seated. The place was in complete dissaray. There were at least 20 dirty tables, while we were waiting to be seated we never saw a server check on any of the tables in the center section. We overheard "rumors" that staff members and a manager quit. I felt incredibly bad for the staff that were there. There were SEVERAL people waiting and most were angry. We decided it was best to leave. This has always been a great restaurant in the past, but it appeared to be very unprepared for mother's day. There were WAY TOO many reservations booked for 630p. I am really sorry that it was such a bad experience for everyone involved.

Entire dinner experience took about 3 hours. A server didn’t come to our table to greet us for 30 minutes (wait staff said it was a mixup on assignments) and we didn’t receive our food until after we had been sitting for 2 hours. Both managers I spoke to were unhelpful - blamed it on the reservation system but the restaurant was half empty. After 3 hours, the managers said the best they could do to make the experience “right” was $80 off our $250 bill. We won’t ever go back to a Brio.

Way to long of a dinning experience. 40 minutes for drinks, 90+ for food. Watched as our appetizer sat in the expo window for close to 20 minutes. One order was over salted, and not removed from the bill like the server offered. Would not discount a second meal that had no lobster on the lobster and shrimp pasta.

Our party had a reservation at 3:45. When we checked in with the hostess we were told, “You are all checked in, give us just a few minutes.” As time started ticking by we quickly realized almost every table was occupied and not many of them had food. We checked in with the hostess after about 15 minutes of waiting. We were then told our party was next. However she sat two parties ahead of us. We inquired again but were then told there were three parties in front of us and they were just waiting for “people to leave.” Once we were seated, 45 minutes after our reservation time the bartender came over to give us bread and take our drink order. In an attempt to expedite our dining experience since we were scheduled to see a show later on, we gave our full order including drinks, an appetizer and entrees. Our drinks took about 20 minutes to come out and soon after, two side salads (from our entree order) and the kids fruit came out. We thought this seemed promising of getting our food soon. Unfortunately that was not the case. At 5:30 we finally asked a different server where our food was at in the lineup to determine if we had the time to wait on it. When she returned we were told our order wasn’t even close to being prepped. There were several tables around us that had been there much longer than us and they did not have their food either. Unfortunately I do not believe our experience was unique. They were very clearly understaffed in the kitchen and with servers. I understand Mother’s Day is very busy and staffing issues are prevalent right now but on top of that, there seemed to be poor management of the situation they were in. This caused much frustration for all involved. The most frustrating part was the lack of honestly. If we were told when we checked in that they were significantly behind in seating reservations and that the kitchen was over an hour behind we would have been able to go elsewhere. I hope this is a learning experience for this location.

Reservation was on time. Sat for 25 minutes before our server came over. Waited about 20 more for drinks to actually come. (We realize it is Mother’s Day, a very busy day.) Waited over 2 hours after ordering and still our food hadn’t come. Our server was great, but after over two hours, we threw some money on the table and left. Not sure if we will ever be back. Ended Mother’s Day on an empty stomach.

I love Brio but this experience was a nightmare. It’s Mother’s Day. Made reservations for 1:45 pm. My mom is handicapped so it had to go places where you have to wait. We were not seated until 2:30 pm. Our server was super kind but overwhelmed with all the tables she had. Our food didn’t arrive until about 3:45. Half the items were wrong or cooked horrible. My brother had to be at work so we didn’t have time to reorder or wait for corrections. We ate what we had. Talked to the manager who kept offering free dessert. (We didn’t have time or patience at that point). My brother literally went and refilled our water glasses at the servers station because we were 30 minutes without drinks. Then we waited another 20 minutes for the check. We didn’t leave until 5 pm. In the end, 2 meals were removed from our check (5 were wrong) but it was not a good experience and I’m an extremely patient and understanding person. I dont think we’ll be back, especially to this location.

Waiting 1 hour and 45 with no entrees. We ended up leaving. Manger didn’t charge us for appetizers. Manger had no idea what he was doing. No one seemed to care that are food was lost and took 45 min for drinks. Shame on you Brio.

It was quite busy so three hostesses could not decide where to seat us. Once seated it was an extended wait for service who advised she didn’t know our table was for her. $5 Lemonade with no sugar ring as menu promised. Food did take time as we expected. The shrimp Pomodoro was well received and every bite consumed. The Lasagna on the other had presented nice but was very disappointing. Have never had lasagna with little to no red sauce (but that’s just a preference I am told). The dish was mushy, so overcooked I could have eaten it with a baby spoon. The taste was also pretty bland. The bread served was very good however, very warm and crunchy on the outside and soft as a cloud inside. Overall not the Mothers Day eating experience I was expecting, so glad for the dining company.

I go to almost every restaurant in Dayton on weekends because I live close to downtown. There are some incredible places to eat for couples and you can spend between $1 -$200 depending. I was taking my entire family of 10 out to eat. Brio is the absolute best quality food, atmosphere and service for the price. A large variety of appetizers and main courses and the drinks are excellent. If you are a party of two or up, I highly recommend.
