Server seemed like he had the entire restaurant. Tables. The bar. A giant group of 30+ people in the side room. Always rushed. Water glasses weee empty before the meal, never filled until we asked a manager long after our food was done. Our son didn’t like his pasta, so we asked to have a small salad made for him - was charged for a full adult portion. Manager checked on us a couple of times, but the entire meal was extremely disjointed. No apology. No explanation. No adjustment made to the bill. Not a good experience.

Was travelling to Des Moines and booked it for the night before my son's gymnastics meet. Arrived at the restaurant to find that the restaurant was closed for the night due to some snow. No communication was received from the restaurant putting us in a precarious position with many hungry gymnasts and having to scramble at the last second to find food for our large group.

This used to be our go to place many years ago. It's ok but has become somewhat run down. Food was fair. Not as good as we remember years ago. I think there's many more choices now in the area.

Love eating here for lunch. They have a great salad that is so refreshing. Drinks are great. Pasta is yummy! Bring back the soup and salad combo!

Has not been updated in years. Food was good but service was very slow. This time and last time we ate there the restaurant was very cold...had to keep coat on...unfortunately, there are many good Italian restaurants in Des Moines area so we will not be back here.

I was extremely disappointed in our experience here. We've eaten at Bravo in the past but this was the absolute worst service ever. The manager or front desk hostess seemed angry and the staff was either very new or untrained. Our bar drinks were inconsistent and some not even good, as if they had soap in them or something. :( The food, however, was good. But I would not go back there again due to the service. I didn't even feel as if there was someone there to talk to about it and our server was MIA whenever we needed her. So strange.

The food was very good. Service was ok. We had a reservation. It took a little longer to be waited on than usual, a little longer to order, little too long for water, etc. Our entrees were quickly brought out after we ordered. We had to ask to order desert, waiter forgot my coffee so I skipped it after dinner. Server was very nice, possibly overwhelmed in their service area. Still a nice place to go have a nice meal.

Table near window overlooking lake and fall colors were beautiful! Waitress was attentive; service was quick; food was hot. Lasagne tasted great but seemed to be more of a cheese dish as it lacked enough meat filling for the best flavor and texture. Will choose another option next time. Spaghetti & meatballs did not disappoint, esp with extra sauce.

We’ve dined here often and this time, we walked out without eating, after sitting in our booth for a very long time unattended. We were warned by the hostess it was a busy night when she sat us. We could see the many plates of prepared food done and waiting to be served all along the prep area! Seeing this was our red flag to leave. The front reception area and floor needs a good cleaning, too. The place looked dirty and so was our booth and table. Disappointing for a restaurant that has always been one of our favorites. Someone needs to rescue it.

Bravo is always consistently good on every entree I have had. The 2 for $35 is an awesome deal so get it while you can.

Do not go to Bravo on National Lasagna Day. The lasagna was sold out and we were grudgingly offered a substitute but only when pressed; no bread (first we were told it would be 5 minutes, then mysteriously it was all out); no drink refills; waited at table 15 minutes for server who then disappeared for another long stretch later; server would not let us use $20 off coupon since it was Nat'l Lasagna Day even though we couldn't get the lasanga (!); server vaguely apologized numerous times but wouldn't do anything to make the experience passable; we left without even mentioning it was a birthday celebration as there was no point. We're loyal, longtime customers but it was a very bad experience.

Salmon was good, lobster bisque was not flavorful, nice place. If you order Lasagna read the description as it is smothered in Alfredo sauce. More menu choices in the past.

Does not smell like an Italian restaurant but the food is great. Shrimp scampi is delicious! Nice place to eat with excellent staff.

When we arrived at the restaurant it had a horrible sewer odor. The waiter told us the sewer lines were backed up. Once we could get past the smell the experience was good.

Sunday evening is a great time to eat at Bravo! It is quiet and not overly busy meaning the service is quick and laid back. We enjoyed a fine dinner.
